I thought one of the Levithans took a nuke hit and was damaged but not destroyed.

It was full-on splorched over Titan.

Also the real prize there is the advanced decoy generators, you could easily adapt those to fighter launched missiles

Where's your printed evidence saying this, so we know the kind of ECM units capable of tricking a WarShip into seeing dozens of false missiles isn't so big that it requires a fifty-ton missile to carry/power it?

I'm wanting to put this into Alamo's, not LRM's, which I think is probably do-able.

Most missiles have rather small payload fractions. A largish EWAR suite means the missile won't carry a warhead... if the EWAR suite even fits in.

I'm aware of that and aren't expecting a warhead on this missile

Not in a product, but Herb did say on the forums that he was no one of any importance and that was the point.
Ghostbear confirmed that Stone is one of the 4 men listed on page 228 of Masters and Minions
Quote
There are at least four men that roughly match Stone’s vital statistics:
James Pervu, a construction foreman from Gei-Fu;
Christopher Sheldon, a lance commander in the Kittery Planetary Militia;
Saul Miller, an AFFS administrative assistant stationed on Tikonov;
Jahn Prowell, a shipping captain from Sian.

So Devlin Stone is one of those 4 guys.

That was then.

Hah, I could only imagine the embarrassment of everyone when they find out that the guy who destroyed the word of blake, founded an entirely new nation, was a tactical genius, and he turns out to be some random construction foreman.

That would be hilarious. The LIUCC union is nothing to screw with apparently.

Thematically, quite fitting. Stone is a builder of a better nation...

That said, he is more than that. Hence, i have a theory: Those four guys merged their brains and the resulting creature is Devlin Stone. He got construction skills of Parvu, military skills of Sheldon, administrative skills of Miller, and leadership skills of Prowell.
A further refined theory is that WoB did human experiments and merged those four guys brains, and the resulting creature then escaped and took revenge on WoB.

Wasn't he a effective Mechwarrior?  You don't go from amateur pilot to arguably elite unless someone was covering for him in the initial stages of his revolt on Kittery.

Maybe he was a prodigy? A Max Genius/Amuro Rey type who somehow just instinctively knew his way around a 'Mech?

MechWarrior skills imply either Miller or Sheldon. AFFS member, even if administrative assistant, could mean MechWarrior training. Since Sheldon is described as lance commander, this implies he's a MechWarrior.
That said, Pervu could be an IndustrialMech pilot (despite then-present position as a foreman), and those skills could translate to MechWarrior skills, especially with some training.

Doesn't completely rule out construction foreman. Industrialmech training covers most of the non-shooty parts.

He also had David Lear to be his hype man.

I am reminded that the old House Kurita sourcebook mentions that most people who could be excellent MechWarriors never get the chance, due to being born to some peasant family instead of the nobility. It could be that not only was Stone in the right place at the right time, but he also had the right brain to become a noted MechWarrior. This would help explain his political success; since most of the Inner Sphere's rulers were themselves MechWarriors, they would've been far more accepting of him than, say, an infantryman who managed to lead a prisoner revolt.

I don't know, I'd say his political success squarely falls on Lear's shoulders. Lear seemed to be the one doing all the politiking during the Jihad and after was the main brains behind the creation of the RotS. And it's after Lear's death that things really seemed to go down hill...']

Here’s the thing. Stone was a Rabid Foxes operative, and one of those four was Stone’s cover identity. While Stone was intended to be a “nobody,” he wasn’t supposed to be “no one special.”

But all that’s unofficial unless it ever gets published somehow, and any window for delving into Stone’s past likely closed years ago, IMO.

Maybe novel or segment in a up coming novel of the Jihad which were alleged to get someday could include shadows of his rise and beginnings.

Of all the characters during that time period to be centered around, Devlin Stone would certainly one to do.
