Alright then.  Here's an in game update for the campaign.

The company manages to capture a pilot from the unidentified unit of mechs that was fought in the latest game.  You saw signs of another fight with some wrecked mechs with the pilots dead inside their cockpits; nothing was salvageable from those mechs however.  The Hussars make it back to base without incident and turn the captive over to local security forces for interrogation.

As the techs look over the mechs for repairs, most can be finished in a couple hours of work as most of the damage was superficial.  The Exterminator will take a whole day to fix.  The Scorpion and Shadow Hawk, however, had extensive damage done to them.  The tech crews estimate its going to take 2-3 days to repair the Scorpion and 3-4 days to repair the Shadow Hawk (that's even with extra crews working in them).

The company is given 2 days to start repairs, debriefing and a hot shower.  Nothing major happens during that time.  After the 2 days, all but the Scorpion and Shadow Hawk resume patrols without trouble.

The techs can start the process of building a turret; but that's going to take some time.

Right now battalion HQ wants to get the mechs up and running ASAP.  You'll have to wait for a time period where the regiment is in between contracts to install the turret.

Jester, would command allow the Ostscout, Blazerhawk, and Vulcan to go hunting for the unknown force that withdrew, once they repaired of course?  Instead of waiting the two days of down time?  Nearly nothing is going to catch them and what can catch them the three of them can fend off.

If you don't mind the pilots taking a level of exhaustion, they can go out on patrols during those 2 days.  However, command doesn't want you going out too far. Theuy basically want you all to keep an eye out for any strange activity.  Local security forces will be interrogating the captive and see if they divulge any useful information to possibly narrow the search down.

After the 3rd day, the Scorpion is up and running but the Shadowhawk is still in the middle of repairs and will need another day to be fully functioning.

You all could do some patrolling.  There are also some transports that need some escorting or guard duty at a place the local government thinks could be at risk from the pirates.

The escort and guard duty will need all available units to company can field.

The patroling you can do as a company or split up into lances.

Depending on which is more critical to the situation would be my choice for the escprt or guard.  What's the package for the escort versus the location of the guard?

The package of the escort is raw germanium.  The guard duty is one of the germanium mining facilities.

I'm insane and would want to put the fire Lance at the mine and the cavalry Lance plus normal phawk on escort with the 7/11/7+ in between but I suppose if anything matters more it is the mining operation as there is usually more investment in that than a single shipmebt, though the shipment is a tempting target for a quick payout.

So I rolled randomly to see what assignment the company would be given, and you all were tasked with providing security to a mining facility.  About a week goes by and nothing happens  at the facility, but a shipment was attacked and some of the germanium ore was taken.

So now your company has been reassigned to escort duty and will be protecting the next convoy.

And the mining facility is hit.  That's what a raider is SUPPOSED to do.  Hit where the defenders are not :P

So are y'all going with mechs and tech out of the TRO 3145 & 3150 manuals in your current scenario?

Just trying to keep track for when I'm able to come up and join you.

Ok, thanks.  Was the match in June just a post-Jihad one off then?

More or less.  The store closed the game room making running a campaign difficult.  Now that the store is open the campaign sounds like it is back on for those that can make it.

The game in June was a mash-up free for all.  I had everyone bring exactly 6 units (vehicles, battlearmor, protomechs, mechs) and a 10k BV limit.  The units were then given a random number and then a marker representing that number was scattered around the map sheets.  You had to crew the units by running a jeep into the hex; but you didn't know which marker was for what until you entered its hex.

So the next scenario is going to be an escort mission where you all will be trying to protect a convoy of trucks carrying a shipment of raw ore to the processing facility.

Here's a catch.  Due to the high concentration of metals causing a strong EM field in the area, your radar/scanners are having difficulty detecting units.  But no worries, because nothing's going to go wrong... >:D
