Yes, but it'd be low on my list. Lots of other things to buy first on a limited budget.

I want to see some small animals that can fly and are domesticated, so I can have VTOL K9 units.

There's 2 types of VTOL infantry, one type uses hang gliders, the other  one man microcopters.  THe former is probably safe.

How do the hang glider ones get the vertical takeoff? Though jumping off a cliff would be about as vertical a takeoff as possible.

It's an abstraction, they can't take off vertically, but they are light enough to get airborne in a short space.
Also they have to enter at least 1 different hex per turn, so it is clear they are flying rather than hovering.

Do we not have Branth infantry?

THose are large animals, and that would be mounted infantry.

I'm trying to do something batshit insane here, but I lack the domesticated bats to do it with.

Ahh... I see.... You want infantry with medium-sized mad bats on leashes that can be slipped free as attack bats.... :o

Probably should include a morale check for those.....things.

You bought the box set and are ready to expand your bt experience. Now what? | Modern Sourcebook Index | FASA Sourcebook Index | Print on Demand Index
Equipment Reference Cards | DIY Pilot Cards | PaperTech Mech and Vehicle Counters

Yes I would.  I try to scoop up any AToW source material, because there's so little of it compared to other RPGs.  As a GM with a family anything that saves me time is on the buy list.

Now if they could just publish some generic adventures that work in most time periods... or some generic planetary locations... or some dropship deck plans...

Problem is that we need normal K-9 infantry first

AToW Companion pg.135. Not much use in TW, though.
