I've got a conventional fighter that can move 10 tons of cargo, but something about it's one-man cockpits makes onlookers crabby; What would sound like a descent alternative?
Once a WiGE comes down the well, it's crew are paid like panzerbois, instead of as aerojocks? Is the difference in payroll worth the benefit of ownership? And is it really less maneuverable then a VSTOL conventional?
Ignoring the question how support-grade WiGEs might not get the free flotation hull, could you still *drop one* in the High Atmosphere? Is there a minimum BAR, or thickness, you would need to meet to do so?
Are any of these cheap enough you don't feel bad about aborting the invasion, after getting down into LEO?
Or do I just need to hax in more crew to this cargo VSTOL? Or even a new SmallCraft?
