The Alteryx Corporation was primarily focused on the manufacturing of non-combat submersible vehicles during the Star League era. Their primary facilities were based on planet 4546B in the Deep Periphery. The planet was a hotbed of scientific research in the 27th and 28th centuries. Its surface is almost completely covered in water, which alone was enough to make it valuable. It was also home to a great variety of aquatic life, ranging from microscopic organisms to leviathan-class creatures larger than a Leopard dropship. The Alteryx Corporation was chartered by the Star League to create infrastructure to support habitation and research on the planet.

They also set up manufacturing platforms on the planet to produce exploration vehicles. These were widely used on 4546B, but Alteryx also sold and shipped many of them throughout the Inner Sphere and Periphery. To increase demand for their products, Alteryx contracted a holo-game developer, Unseen Worlds, to produce a game that would feature their products as a form of advertising. The result was an underwater survival game, Subnautical, that gained some popularity and inspired a sequel, Subnautical: Sub-zero. The games were slightly inaccurate with regards to the actual capabilities of the vehicles, but the subliminal marketing campaign was successful anyway.

Unfortunately, after the fall of the Star League, a deadly bacterial contagion broke out on the planet and resources to develop a cure for it were not available. All healthy personnel were evacuated and the planet was quarantined and abandoned.

Waterbug Personal Submersible

Overview
  The Waterbug is a small, versatile, one-person submersible produced by the Alteryx corporation. Its electric engine and propulsion system allow it to reach a top speed of 97 kph and the on-board batteries are sufficient for voyages of almost 800 kilometers. The base model can safely operate at depths of up to 200 meters on worlds with Terran-equivalent gravity. Other models offer various levels of hull reinforcement to allow for safe operation at greater depths, with the sturdiest model able to operate at 900 meters depth. All models are equipped with a pair of forward searchlights which offer at least limited visibility in dark waters. Most models also have a cargo area accessible from the rear. While mostly sold as a civilian recreational vehicle, one model, marketed to law enforcement agencies, mounts a short-range torpedo launcher, similar to missile launchers used by infantry.

Crayfish Aquatic Exoskeleton

Overview
  The Crayfish is an advanced industrial exoskeleton developed by the Alteryx corporation. It was intended to aid in underwater construction, excavation, mining and even rescue operations. The suit is fully pressure sealed and can maintain breathable atmosphere for a single operator for several hours. It also has underwater propulsion units, with a top speed of 54 kph, in addition to being able to walk on solid surfaces in or out of water. Each of its arms are fully modular, able to be exchanged for arms with variety of different manipulators. The default option for each arm is a basic manipulator which provides enough dexterity to manipulate most objects. However, each arm also has the option of supporting manipulators for drilling, salvage and demolition. One option even includes a short-range torpedo launcher, advertized for heavy demolition work. Finally, the Crayfish has a spacious external storage compartment that can carry up to 370 kg of cargo or equipment, depending on the manipulators equipped. Finally, a searchlight mounted to the frame can illuminate deep underwater environments.

Monoculus Research Submersible

Overview
  The Monoculus, produced by the Alteryx corporation, was intended to serve as a submersible reconissance or research vessel. With a top speed just under 65 kph, it is not especially fast or maneuverable, but its efficient electric engine gives it impressive operating range of over two thousand kilometers before needing a recharge. Intrinsic to its design is an internal docking compartment meant to carry either a Crayfish exoskeleton, or a Waterbug submersible. This allows for the deployment of either of those vehicles to expand mission capabilities. In its basic configuration, it is also equipped with a forward facing floodlight capable of illuminating a wide area even deep underwater. The Monoculs also includes a spacious internal cargo area with multiple attachment points and power outlets that can be used to carry supplies or support any equipment required by the mission. The Monoculus is capable of being operated by a single person, but the standard crew compliment is three people. While the Monoculus was well suited to its role, only a limited number were ever produced as demand was also limited. Later, Alteryx focused on the development of the AquaTug. This later vehicle could effectively duplicate the capabilities of the Monoculus with the right combination of trailer modules in addition to serving a much wider variety of needs.

AquaTug Submersible Tractor

Overview
  The AquaTug is a submersible tractor built by Alteryx, meant to transport trailer modules and serve as a mobile workstation on water worlds. Alteryx also produces several standard trailer modules for the AuquaTug, including a simple cargo module, a fabrication workstation module, a sleeper cab module, an aquatic livestock trailer, and a transport container module meant to carry their Crayfish Aquatic Exoskeleton. The AquaTug can carry up to five of these modules in any combination and provide breathable air for all of them for several days. This allows it to serve many different functions, including scientific research, bulk cargo and livestock transportation, and a mobile workstation for underwater maintenance crews. When towing modules, the AquaTug's top speed is 54 kph, and even when not towing modules a governor limits the vehicle to this top speed to prevent damage to the propellers. Regardless of what it hauls, the AquaTug itself was constructed around a simple, rugged frame and controls. The result is a reliable vehicle that is both easy to maintain and easy to produce with a retail price comparable to that of a standard small laser.

  Although most of their vehicle lines are focused on submersible water craft, the Alteryx corporation also produces one notable exception. As water worlds often include significant expanses of ice sheets at their polar regions, Alterxy also offers a "land-based" personal transport option. The Snow Hare Hoverbike can carry a single rider over icy terrain with ease. It is also a quick and nimble vehicle, able to reach a top speed of almost 130 kph in short bursts. However, only skilled operators should attempt such maneuvers. The Snow Hare does not offer an enclosed cabin and the rider sits directly atop the vehicle. So, any mishap is likely to result in operator injury. While it doesn't offer a temperature-controlled cabin, the Snow Hare does carry an integrated life support unit, which can provide breathable air and heat for a rider wearing an envrionment suit. This capability is essential to allow an operator to withstand frigid environments for many hours while travelling at high speed. The main vehicle battery allows for continuous operation of the engine for 4-8 hours, depending on the rate of travel. This also gives the vehicle a maximum range of about 500 kilometers, which is sufficient for most operations. The life support unit has its own battery that can provide life support for up to 90 hours, extending the possibility of rescue in emergency situations.
