MWO - Fire Moth (Dasher) - new 'Mech

Interesting. Aside from time needed for Event Queue "Beta Testing" of how to handle its speed in MWO, wondering if PGI had other reasons not to add Dasher or Fenris to MW5:Clans. Preference to different mobility/loadout options offered by Hankyu and Shadow Cat?

The MWO Dasher is going to have the following configurations:

• Primary Configuration
• Alternate Configuration B
• Alternate Configuration C
• Alternate Configuration D
• Alternate Configuration H
• Alternate Configuration K
• Hero 'Mech "Aletha"

Top speed:

The speed wasn't the issue (this is poorly understood). It was the accel/decel with MASC of a fully tweaked (skill tree) mech. This was leaked in the cauldron feedback discord, but fully skilled top speed is 209 kph and the MASC was adjusted specially for the Fire Moth. You accel/decel was nerfed and you won't have the agility of a Flea/Locust, moreso a Mist Lynx.

Apparently one of the event queues last month was meant to test for hit reg issues with light 'mechs when designing the Fire Moth for MWO.

I'm greatly looking forward to this. The Fire Moth is my favorite light ’Mech, and we haven't seen it in an official capacity in a MechWarrior video game since MW2Mercs. I can't wait to play it here in MWO!

A release by some means in MW5Clans as well is sure to follow, but I do not have that game yet. lol

Mektek added the Dasher in their fan mod of the MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries game.

A release by some means in MW5Clans as well is sure to follow, but I do not have that game yet. lol

There is a very high probability that the Dasher will appear in some future MechWarrior 5: Clans expansion pack.

MekTek didn't even allow their Fire Moth to reach 200 kph without a meaningful reduction in weaponry 

It really makes me appreciate where we've gone with MechWarrior games since MechWarrior 4.
