Mega Extended Ranged Energy weapons are a simple concept, extending the Range of ER energy weapons for more heat and the same damage per ton depending on the tech base. Below will be the changed stats for the IS versions, all other stats are the same as normal IS Er energy weapons except for range and heat.

Mega Extended Range Lasers: Small: Ranges: 0/3/6/9 heat: 5 Damage: 3 Tonnage: 0.5 Critical Slots: 1 BV(Estimate): 28 Medium: Ranges: 0/6/12/18 heat: 7 Damage: 5 Tonnage: 1 Critical Slots: 1 BV(estimated): 93 Large: Ranges: 0/11/21/28 Heat: 15 Damage: 8 Tonnage: 5 Critical Slots: 2 BV(Estimate): 243 Mega Extended Ranged Particle Projector Cannon Ranges: 0/11/21/34 Heat: 20 Damage: 10 Tonnage: 7 Critical Slots: 3 BV(Estimate): 341

BV is estimated using the old Heavy metal Pro BV calculator. these are just the Inner Sphere versions(debating on making them IS only). But These are made for fun, not meant to be used in a actual game(unless you want to). Think the BV calculations are okay as a stop gap?

I agree that the range brackets are a mess and are on the rough side. might need to clean that up a little.

Well if regular larges, say are 5/10/15, and ER larges are 6/12/21
then MER larges should be 7/14/25..
Same for mediums 3/6/9 reg, 5/10/15 ER, 6/12/18 for MER..
