First off, I want to thank the authors who take the time to answer questions on this board. It's huge help to folks like me just starting out with our freelance efforts. In that vein, as part of the feedback I've received from Catalyst, they've suggested I get some initial feedback from other authors. I'm not sure if any of you would be willing to take a look at a draft or two, or if there's a listserv/telegram channel/etc that you'd recommend I reach out to? I appreciate any advice you can offer.

Thanks again!

We're told we're not supposed to read unpublished BattleTech fiction that's not contracted by Catalyst. But having said that, there are lots of groups that can help you get feedback. Depending on where you live, there are almost always local writing groups you can get critiqued by.

If you tell me what city you live in, I'd be happy to help find one for you.

In Utah, we're lucky we have the League of Utah Writers and it's a non-profit that connects writers together for exactly this stuff. But pretty much everywhere has one, in the US and abroad.

Much appreciated! I currently live outside Houston, Texas. Do you mind if I send you a follow up question via private message?

Send a follow up, for sure!

And Houston, Texas is the home of Writespace: https://www.writespacehouston.org/our-organization.html
The Houston Writer's Guild: https://www.houstonwritersguild.org/
And InPrint Houston: https://inprinthouston.org/

Those would all be great places to start just in your community.

While not directly giving you feedback on your stories, we did answer a few questions here and gave some pointers to aspiring Battletech writers.
