An old battletech warhorse returning to the fold.
« on: 03 May 2020, 17:01:54 »
Good afternoon everyone!

I haven't hopped on the design forums for years (apparently classicbattletech.com goes to a spam site now...) and got an itch to come back and start designing mechs like the good ole days. My current problem is that I have no idea what the latest free mech/vehicle/fighter design tools are these days. Can someone lend me a hand?

As a side discussion, are there still megamek.net servers floating around? haven't played for years.

MegaMekLab does everything

Solaris skunkwerks mainly does mechs (is SAW functional? It’s been a minute since I’ve looked)

Solaris Armor Works comes with Solaris Skunk Werks, and is as functional as the latter.  There's a new team working on updates, so I suspect both will be up to speed with the current rules after not too long.  Here's the link to their site: http://www.solarisskunkwerks.com/
