Title: The Ohrenson-Zion Province
Post by: BrokenMnemonic on 06 June 2012, 06:16:31
The map of the Inner Sphere in March 3082 on pages 62-63 of Jihad: Final Reckoning shows a number of minor Free Worlds League states which appear to be absorbed by larger states in later years. One of those states is listed in the map key as the "Ohrenson-Zion Province" and consists of four worlds - Suzano, Ventabren, Kyrkbacken and Ohrensen. Was the state named after the Ohrensen and Zion planets? If it was, shouldn't it be the "Ohrensen-Zion Province" rather than "Ohrenson-Zion Province"? I'm not sure if Ohrenson in the province name is a typo, or if it's actually something like a reflection local/regional difference between the original planet's name and how it's pronounced in the 31st century.

It's a reflection on linguistic differences. Not that the province lasted long...

Thank you :) I'm sure they were eager to join the Republic of Sphere. Well, other than the inhabitants of Ventabren, at least... but who wants them?
