Infantry/BA Support Tank
« on: 19 July 2013, 14:31:28 »
Pushing the limits of what will fit within a light vehicle transport bay, the 50 ton Usov-1 tank is rather unassuming vehicle.   Underpowered in the mind of most people, the fact that it doesn't out run the bulk of the non-mechanized infantry makes it well liked by the PBI.   That and the massive snubbed nosed howitzer it brings with definitely makes their lives easier when forced to clear out strong points bypassed by the much more glamorous mechs and cavalry units.

In technical terms, the vehicle is very crude in it's construction and equipment.   Little advanced equipment or materials besides it's main gun can be found on the tank, making it easy for new crews to get familiar with the vehicle.

That might just work.
It's probably quite good at it's supposed job.

Not bad --- here are a couple of images that might make good figs for it.

The third one would fit your description of a crude vehicle.

The Scorpion works actually.   Was thinking more along the lines of a KV-2 style slow pig of a tank but the 3rd option really is unfamiliar enough to most people to escape immediate attention.   Thank you for the suggestion!
