------------------------------------------------------------------------------
==Overview:==
The Replenisher was considered an extravagance by most militaries when it
debuted in 2727 as a "frontline" support vehicle. Built by Aldis Industries en
masse, sales of the vehicle were dismally low, forcing Aldis to sell the first
and only production run to anyone (including mercenaries and "mercenaries").
To further recoup losses, Aldis' normally wise salesmen included the
production license and blueprints of the Replenisher to sweeten deals for the
next few decades.

Unfortunately for Aldis Industries, battlefield doctrine changed as soon as
nearly Great and Minor Houses' suppliers had the production rights and
specifications. What followed was a mad rush to meet a demand that was quickly
sated, forcing a second sell-off of the Replenisher to any and all interested
parties. It was said that Norland Philippe, the vehicle's main designer,
hand-built an IndustrialMech from spares, sold off all his possessions and
then sold his services as a mercenary battlefield repairman. General Kerensky
famously signed the man on for a five year contract as his personal
"fieldtech".

==Capabilities:==
Massing an impressive (and some say unnecessary) 50 tons, the Replenisher was
built on a popular tracked chassis Aldis Industries mass-produced. With minor
modifications to house an internal combustion engine, a robust Ford 200
capable of drinking almost any kind of fuel, the support vehicle was built
with the rugged standards required for a combat vehicle despite its non-combat
role.

A pair of industrial myomer-muscled arms sit upon the Replenisher's turret; a
Salvage Arm able to effect slapdash repairs and reloads, and a lift hoist to
aid in carrying munitions. It goes without saying that the combination of
these two pieces of equipment, on a rotating turret no less, made it an
excellent salvage vehicle. (A trait which mercenaries and "mercenaries" put to
great use.)

Nestled in-between the two arms is a small fluid cannon, equivalent to
vehicle-grade flamers. It can draw upon two separate tons of insulated
liquids, usually liquid nitrogen and very cold water, to douse overheating
'Mechs or quickly put out Inferno-related fires. Nicknamed the "Whizzer", many
MechWarriors throughout the centuries have kissed this half-ton cannon (post
battle) for its life-saving discharges.

The Replenisher's greatest flaw is ironically its supposed main role: ammo
reloading. With a voluminous armoured bay that can only carry 10 tons, ammo
crates had to be firmly secured lest they roll around while the vehicle is
under way, and often delayed reloading as the fastenings had to be manually
undone. It would be a decade before a high-tension spring system was brought
in to keep the ammo crates relatively secure.

==Deployment==
Still, that didn't solve the fact that the Replenisher barely had enough ammo
to replenish a lance's munitions. The Draconis Combine had a rather simple
solution to this problem: attach a trailer to the thing. An armoured, 25-ton
trailer could easily carry enough reloads to satisfy even the most ammo-hungry
companies. At least, for a while.

Due to the rampant production and quick devaluing of the support vehicle in
just a few short years, the Replenisher was quickly sold to the civilian
market. Ironically, this saved the design during the Succession Wars as the
rugged vehicles (well-maintained despite being used as impromptu construction
vehicles) would be pressed back to service from time to time. Only the AFFS,
FWLM, and DCMS would maintain and expand their fleet of Replenisher Support
Vehicles, attaching a company's worth to each frontline regiment.

Succession Wars-era battlefield etiquette prevented the destruction of more
than one Replenisher, as the vehicles were considered non-targets; especially
when a BattleMech was being doused with cooling liquids. This never grew to a
formal widespread practice as unlike the coolant trucks these vehicles not
only cooled 'Mechs but could also reload its ammo and effect minor repairs by
slapping on (or clearing away melted) armour plating.
