I have not seen this done before, though it probably has been. I got a little bored and I thought I'd do something new. Many of the configs were not thought out I just slapped stuff on the chassis. The C and D configs were given a little thought. The C is an infantry hauler, while the D is a vehicle hunter/killer

I like it just the way it is, tonnage-wise.  22 Tons is an odd, but adequate, size for a VTOL.

Since it's an Omni, you can outfit it how you like (With 8T?  Probably LRMs or SRMs, MMLs at higher tech), and since it's an Omni it makes a fantastic BA delivery platform.

I think this might be the first design I've seen that doesn't make me say "I like it, but..."

Tl;dr I see a sexy BA delivery platform here!

CASE is an item that you can pod-mount. That extra half-ton can go to a variety of uses if you want to remove it...

Going with .35 tons of FF armor, at the loss of only 1 point, would net another half-ton.  I am more of a long range harasser with VTOLs so I would be looking to the ERLL, PPC and LPPC to take advantage of those heat sinks.  Plasma Rifle would be another annoyance.  A scout with remote sensors, TAG and semi-G LRMs could be fun.

I should make note that htis design was made in 2003, long before the advent of many of the fancy new weapons found in the new core books.

I need newer source books myself. Didn't realize you could mount armor in lots smaller than 1/2 ton.

You can't. He means 3.5 tons of Ferro-Fibrous, rather than the 4 tons of standard armour in the OP.
