In the latter half of the 31st century, various factions created their own variations of the classic UrbanMech. But the Republic was born later, so it never got into the Urbie train.
I figured this should be corrected. And since it is the Republic we are talking about, they don't do things conventionally...
So, what happens when David Lear and Devlin Stone do their genetic mechanical experiments with the UrbanMech?
It becomes a tripod. It also grew in size to 35 tons since the new limb eats some weight, and that's even after it is build with Endo-Steel skeleton.
Of course, the fun doesn't end here. The new R100-series Urbies got the high tech treatment: Some Clan Tech. In this case, the 70-rated SFE is equipped with Clan Double Heat Sinks, and the old Small Laser is upgraded to ER Small Pulse Laser. The main gun is now a RAC/5, IS-spec, but deadly all the same. Finally, because the Urbie is an urban combatant, it got an added Clan-spec Active Probe.
No, it isn't the old Urbie, but seriously, what else could the Republic do? Slap a Clan-spec AC to it and call it a day?

The drone the R100RC commands is naturally also an UrbanMech. This time, it is a modification to the old Urbie, drones are disposable after all.
The R60D is converted from old R60s. One heat sink, the Small Laser and jump jets were removed, and the AC was swapped for lighter LB-10X (ton of ammo) to add Remote Control Systems.
