AtB: Base Attack questions

During a base attack with turrets, we can't target or fire on them?  Is there something I need to be doing to make that happen?

Using MekHQ 43.11

In order to win a Base Attack mission, do you have to destroy the turrets AND the base civilian units?  Or just the base civilian units and 50% of other forces?

Are you targeting the buildings that the turrets are on? If not do that and it will tame out the turrets when the building is destroyed.

Yep, target the buildings they are on.  Sometimes you will get crits that break or jam a weapon, stun or kill the crew, or hit the magazine.

Are they part of the required elimination to win the base attack mission?

Yes, I believe you're required to blow them up, as is currently written.

How does our beloved Princess handle turret deployment by now?
It's been a while since I had a base attack and then I deployed the turrets myself and ceded the control back to Princes after deployment.

She deploys them fairly reasonably now. You should still either take manual control of or reroll artillery turrets, however.

So Princess bot doesn't deploy or use artillery turrents correctly?

We had 4 turrets in our base attack mission and only found 1 of them as we had blind mode on.

Ok, when I had to use turrets for the Princess, I made a seperate Bot just for turrets, assigned deployment zones, took manual control of that bot and ceded it back to princess after deployment. Back then, if you just let Princess do the job she was likely to put all of the turrets in one building. but NickAragua said, that now Princess is better in deployment. Eventually try to limit her deployment in the MM lobby if you dont want to handle it yourself.

Also note that Princess does not support double blind play in any meaningful capacity.
