Novels . . . what happened?
« on: 30 March 2011, 02:55:33 »
Hello,

Between 1986 and 2008, sixty three Classic BattleTech novels and thirty MechWarrior novels were published. Presumably they made money. I’m just curious, what happened? Do writers want more money, has the cost of producing books gone up, shelf space gone down? PDFs and eBooks are a partial solution. I’ve heard people mention that if books can be made profitable, you guys will try to put out some more. I was just curious what the main hang up was? Is there one central cause, or is a combination of several?

Thanks.
