I don't know how long it took to complete this company of truly lyran mechs. Must be several years as 'granddaddy' Fafnir implys (one of the first mechs i have painted, that have still their paint on ... and i don't know how long this will last in granddaddys case).
So no mech in this company is lighter than assault class - except their pet quad mech, which weighs only 70 tons.
There is no deeper sense in this compilation other than these are mostly mechs build within lyran borders and the fun of just having some truly lyran mechs. (BV costs for this troop must be ridiciolous and even as a Alpha Strike troop (in which case they can be compiled as a command lance, assault lance and a direct fire lance) they are insanly expensive.)
I have also started adding some kind of support, but that is still WIP (for the next few years...)

Divided into groups there is
the 100-ton-club (Fafnir, Marauder II, Berserker, Thunder Hawk),
the slower troop (Hauptmann, Highlander, Longbow and Zeus X)
and the faster ones (Zeus, Ymir (although i wouldn't use a standard model in my force. Ideas here http://bg.battletech.com/forums/battlemechs/thoughts-of-ymir/ (http://bg.battletech.com/forums/battlemechs/thoughts-of-ymir/), RAC Battlemaster, Battlemaster).
And finally doggy.
For AS purposes the troup would be devided into Command Lance (Thunder Hawk, Fafnir, Highlander and Battlemaster RAC (needed a Brawler)), Assault Lance (Berserker, Zeus, Zeus X, Ymir) and Direct Fire Lance (Marauder II, Longbow, Battlemaster, Hauptmann).

Very nicely done, clean paintjobs with crisp boundaries. Brings a tear to Hogarth's eye!

I'm Col.Hengist and I approve of this unit. Very Lyran. Well painted. O0

Love it! I'm a big fan of combined arms. You just need some infantry and a few Gurteltiers.

Those paintjobs pop at the eyes! Great work. O0
