I'd be interested in seeing one! :)
-
Not seen that one myself - there are some talented kitbashes I have seen (such as Siberian Troll's Bhargest), and some hack-handed ones I did ;)

Both made with plastics from the Intro Box. Any other XTRO minis out there?

Those are pretty cool. I don't recognize either of those mechs though. To me, the top one looks like a star league era mech and the one on the bottom looks like a modified hunchback. But thats just me. :)

Like where?

Someone also made a Wolfhound WLF-2X on the old forum.

Crap, u 2? lol

If it's still in the archive, just type in Wolfhound WLF-2X XTRO Mercs in the search and it should be in one of the results.

Thanks bro. :D

It's been Wackrabbit. He made and the Wolfhound-3X (http://www.classicbattletech.com/forumarchive/index.php/topic,62772.0.html) and Grasshopper 7-X (http://www.classicbattletech.com/forumarchive/index.php/topic,63777.0.html) too.
I'd seen recently on this forums and Pendragon X-'mech too
I'd seen the DVX-10 pic (http://www.sarna.net/wiki/images/7/7e/DVS-X10_Devastator.jpg), and it look as a very simple bash.
Consisting from four rails over existing barrels and glued rifled boxes with pipes.
-
Ah come on, post'em here ;)

The one on top is the Quickdraw from XTRO Corporate, the one on the bottom is the Hunchback from the same book.

I think, Wackrabbit will post them, when he will read this thread.
And if you mean bash of DVX-10, then not right now. I'd prefer to do Mauler/Banzai bash, but have too much projects on the hands right now. ("Urbie with attitude", I'm looking at you!)
But maybe I'll post pics of the several my new mini's today.

Now who would have paid you to build all of those mechs for a "Davion Project"???
-
I've just got pictures. I'll get them hosted sometime today and link em up here. Its a real beauty too.

Hey I got a quick question about miniatures. They were originally used in old BattleTech board game right?
-
Here it is. Sorry but i actually had to host the pics and get my site updated before i could post them here. :D

There has never been a point in time when BattleTech did not use miniatures, so your reference to "old" BattleTech is puzzling.

Dude that looks AWESOME!!!!!! And thats the MUSE EARTH right? It isn't a normal DVS-2?

Oh okay. I didn't know that. Thanks for the info. You know there's a LOT of things I don't know! LOL ;D

And things like that are what these forums are for. Don't feel bad about asking anything, even if it sounds like the kinda question the old-timers get asked every week or so.
Remember: There are no stupid questions, unless you're in the Hall. :D

But there was a time when the mechs in the box sets were just card-stock pictures and plastic stands. Maybe that's the confusion ???
Cheers,
LCC

You guys are great. Don't take this the wrong way. But when I first registered, I expected most of you to be complete jerks. I'm definitely wrong. I've made good friends on this site, like Fullback, Ion Raptor, and worktroll. I really appreciate the kindness you guys have shown me. :)

You have my sincere thanks for that comment. It tells me that we in the Battletech community are doing our jobs right. The mods and regular posters here go to great pains to make sure this place is accessible to even the most inexperienced people. After all, if not, where would we get new experienced players? O0

Differences are in the arms and torso. For reference, the standard mini:

Actually, when you take a good look at it, it doesn't have the ppcs in the torso like the regular DVS-2.

Now what would we say to someone who posted that about their painting? Practice! You can't expect things to be perfect the first time, but you won't get better if you give up. C'mon, you know you want to do a whole a-MUSE-ing update! ;)
Epic sir.
And my thanks to you both.

I wasn't refering to the painting (though it is up to your usual very high standards :)) I was refering to the fact that you matched the art perfectly. Your skill with green/brown stuff is amazing my friend, far exceeding my own. ;)

I meant the modding as well and was using the painting as an example. I was just lazy and didn't explain myself well. :-[

Boy, do you sure have us wrong. We are all exactly like that. :D
And that mini is sweet. I looks like it was pulled directly from the picture into mini form.
-
Ohh, nice!
-
Wow, that's a gorgeous mod to that sculpt. I still hate that damned leg pose, but I'd love to see this mod become a for-sale package from IWM. Very nice work on it, those arms look perfect.

Are those arms to the MUSE EARTH or to the normal DVS-2? I don't see any PPCs in the torsos, but I do see to lasers in the center torso.
-
Yes, he modified the arms to reflect the DVS-X10 Muse Earth. No PPCs in the torso, the beefier arms, and the barrel mods.

Ummm. I'm promise you I'm not being a smart alleck, but I can't find the rules! SERIOUSLY!!!! lol

Can't find them ether BUT I know Rule 10 is that we don't talk about exchanging money on this site. Use PM or the forums on Lords of the Battlefield and DropShip Command.
