I've always liked the CCG art for the Black Lanner:
Unfortunately, the mini is an incredibly accurate reproduction of the TRO art:
This simply woudln't do. I needed this to fill out a Smoke Jaguar star, so ... time to hit the bitz box. A couple of hours later, and I'm pretty happy with this.
Work involved:
- put in new ankles & hips (makes reposing the legs much easier)
- separate feet; bend toes on L foot
- scratch up new hips & offcut waist
- file off big SRM caps & add detail
- file down cockpit, add major part from plastic card, clay up the gaps
- add pod to L torso, scratch up arm connector
- trim off the ERML ports, separate, attach more widely
- replace LB-X gun muzzle for something more textured
Soon to join it's starmates (Mad Dog prime, Grendel prime, Viper A, Arctic Cheetah prime) in Smoke Jaguar Psi Galaxy colours (and scars!)
