Two more stars - Ice Hellions, and Wolves
« on: 19 August 2011, 05:02:18 »
Okay, two more Stars completed. Some of you may remember seeing my previous work on the Ice Hellion Gauss Squad - three 'Mechs, all Gauss-ridden. Now they get friends!

The middle three are the older units - Mad Cat B, Gargoyle B, and Mad Dog C. Now they're joined by two HAG-ridden  starmates - to the left, the Nova F, and to the right, the Highlander IIC 3, both with HAG-20s. The Nova got modified into the classic running pose remembered by everyone who's seen the intro to MW2:GBL. The paintscheme is my own non-canon scheme; who knows what the Imperio Escorpion will use?

And their not-so-friendly competition, the Wolves of Beta Galaxy - true Clan Wolf, of course! ;)

The Jenner IIC, Bane, Black Python and Rifleman IIC have all been posted before, but the Fire Scorpion 3 is recent . The Star Commander was initially upset at getting a quad assigned to his Star, but the combination of jump-jets (seen here in use) and UAC-20, with quad AP gauss rifles, soon changed his mind. While his Star may not be made up of prime equipment on the whole, and much of it taken in battle, the Star's mix of flexibility and damage capability serves Clan Wolf well in its challenges in the Wolf OZ.

Comments as always welcome!

Very Nice! Im also interested in the terrain you got there. What did you use to make that?

"Thanks." Kai smiled. "So what kind of planet did you give Katherine? A gas giant?"
"Would have been a nice choice. Maybe next year." Victor shook his head. "Nope, it was a lifeless little ball; cold, hard, and ugly to the core. Reminded me of her. Hope she likes it."

Hand made with 1" foam board - happy to PM you details if you're interested.

Oh, and "So there!" to anyone who tells you you can't fit a Fire Scorpion onto a standard hex base!  :D
