Title: How would you model large naval hovercraft?
Post by: beachhead1985 on 19 March 2018, 18:41:22
The support vehicle rules only permit hovercraft of 100 tons and that at a sharply diminishing rate of return.

How could large naval hovercraft; like the various Russian landing craft and SM.4 Hover Ferry be built under BT rules? Could a larger Hover-Warship be built?

Yep..

Think outside the box BH... WIGEs.

Up to 240 tons, works like a heavy hover, but more stable.

Pg. 55, TW has the rules.

I've been very bad because I've already found I can exploit an oversight in my spreadsheet to create 240+ ton WIGE.

By the rules can I have them operate as a large hovercraft would? Stop? Start? Reverse? I thought WIGE really had to *fly*?
