Isolation Project
« on: 23 March 2020, 15:44:01 »
With Governments around the world requesting folks Stay Home and self-isolate, I've decide, with nothing better to do, I may as well tackle my backed up projects of Terrain (and Miniatures) needing painting. That said, here is my first batch of terrain pieces from the Mega-Kickstarter for  CAV models (I took the mega-terrain option).

below we have 4 pieces of Rubble, and 8 pieces for Minefields.

More to come soon.

I hear you! Was running down my BT mini stocks before the BT KS hit. Only got a few more 'battalion' projects waiting. CAV may be the gap-filler we needed!

BTW - nice work! Walk us through the process. I'm finding the brown ink wash the secret ;)

Update #3

Today we have some Cargo Containers and Fuel/Ammo Dump objective markers.

I decided not to go with the Terrain piece's base that came with CAV Ammo/Fuel markers, as I felt they were a little large for my purposes, and besides, I took 8 terrain pieces and turned them into 14 pieces by mounting separately.

I've got a Binary of Snow Ravens to finish up, and I've got near company of Fronc's First Cuirassiers to photo up (some are 3D-printed, so Gotta keep them out).

And I'm done the CAV fast painted stuff, moving on to more detailed objects (like the wrecks)

Even on paper maps I like to have some terrain as objectives, especially civilian infrastructure. Those cargo are sweet. I was making mine from allumynum t tracks, but that is nowhere close the detail of Yours.

Nice! I did the same thing with my fuel and ammo pieces from Cav. Mine are just primed so far but I'll take inspiration from yours for the painting.

yeah, for the tanks and aero I wanted a more uniform color as makes easier to represent anything. With the Mechs (Or CAVs???) I felt better to break up the colors as there was 12 of them (versus 4).
