Battlefield Support Artillery with Alpha Strike Hex Play

This is sort of an odd one, so not surprised I haven't found anything about it in my searches.  Hoping to get some feedback here from you all...

In Alpha Strike hex play rules, 1 Hex is the equivalent of 2".  For the Battlefield Support Artillery rules on pg. 56 of ASCE the Thumper and Sniper Artillery attacks have an AOE of 2" - so does that mean in hex play it only does damage to the target hex, or does it damage the target hex and each hex surrounding the target hex (which would be the equivalent of 2" from the target)?

Likewise, does the Long Tom (with an AOE of 6" in standard play) only do damage to the target hex with the first value and the hexes adjacent to it with the second value; or - does it damage the target hex and the adjacent hexes with the first value, and the ring of hexes outside those with the second damage value?

Any help here would be greatly appreciated!

Nevermind on the question above...just found the rule on pg. 68 regarding Area of Effect Templates for Hex Play. 

ASCE, pg. 68: "The conversion for area effects
follows the same approach as above, with an AoE always centered
on a hex. A 2” AoE Template will affect the target hex and all adjacent
hexes. A 6” AoE Template will affect the target hexes, and all hexes
within 2 hexes of the target hex."

Maybe leave this post though for a quick search answer for others that may have missed it?
