How do we access the articals in the lists that are supposed to be archived but for which no link is provided?

By request and luck, i reckon some articles might not be in anyone's archives at the moment at all.
As it is, your best bet is to to make request for a new article in the schedule thread, or volunteer to write one yourself.

The archives are there for historical reasons, presumably. Not sure but i understood that at some point it was possible for mods or admins to recover stuff from "old forums".

And yes, the list needs updating for modern stuff as well.

At the time the list was put together, the forum archive was still available, yes.  It's no longer there.

Forum crash probably wiped out all the old articles. The archive list basically just linked out to the existing articles. So when the forum crashed, the articles were lost.

I won't speak for others, but just as well that my older writings are lost to time and space. Pity my newer ones HAVEN'T been, really.  ;D
