(Answered) Booby Trap Offensive Special Ability Factor
« on: 10 October 2019, 19:06:24 »
Most of the items listed in the Offensive Special Ability Factors table (ASC p.139), and the corresponding errata, are pretty straightforward. But I do have a pretty simple question around the Booby Trap.

The Factor Value is listed as "Unit Size x (Unit’s Highest Move x 0.5)". Does Unit's Highest Move refer to the TMM, or the # of inches moved? I believe TMM since inches would lead to ridiculously high values! As an example, let's say I had a 70 ton unit with a Booby Trap and an MV of 8"/14"j. The ground TMM is 1 and the jump TMM is 3. Would the value for the Booby Trap be 3 x 3 x0.5 = 4.5?

Never mind, found my answer in ASCE p.83 under the description for how Booby Trap works. It is inches moved, not the TMM. You can mark this as [Self-]Answered. :)
