Peak 'This is a tank for mechs to kill' energy.

I hate it, which is good and why I like it!  The Fusion engine Merkava 8 has over double the armor, but needs a fusion engine to do it.  If you dont have a fusion engine, or want that Merkava 8 300 fusion engine to go into a mech, well this version of the Merkava lets you do something with the shell you are left with after harvesting the 300 fusion to get those Marauders and Orions back in the fight.

At less then 600 BV, its a great tank for the light lance to fight as the big bad guy in a narrative game, surrounded with lighter tanks like vedettes and scorpions and infantry.

The Advocator LL, nice.  For the Liao with a stinger/wasp production line, and no desire to send more stingers and wasps to garrisons to die.  Also, its got 2x the engine rating of an urbanmech, so its positively flying down those city streets in comparison, with more guns as well.

I mean, take a close look at the white pickup I posted.  :cool:

(The Mini is another good place to look, but the gun's on the other side so harder to see details.)

The Ambition of Oda Nobuna is probably the most non-RPG isekai out there (and a very good anime all around), but as you say it was a single season show.

I completely agree.

The 9th Episode in English is one of my favorite episodes of any anime  azn   :laugh:

The rear lasers are a tricky one for sure, and the design is definitely better off without them.  I think your dropping of the rear lasers and adding a collection of small lasers is a good idea, heck I would even go as far as turning the added LT medium laser to more small lasers.  5 small lasers in place of the LRM10, 2 arm mounted mediums, and the CT SRM4 is quite a bit of backstabbing, plus maximum armor!

I don't think we have any products set in the 2900's outside of each house's "History" section.

That said, the 3rd SW was "long, low, & slow" because they had universally beaten each other into submission.

You had a century & a half of "low intensity raiding".

Sucking in all that air would require separate engines all on its own.  Superheated hydrogen hitting an atmosphere would provide extra pressure to push against without needing separate engines for sucking in air, so you get some benefit just being in an atmosphere.  Its possible to put several turbines on dropships for the purpose of pushing more air, but I honestly dont know if that will do anything.  These dropship engines function at pretty high G in space without atmosphere reaction mass, so they are already pushing out lots of high energy something, to the point that any air used as reaction mass might only be there to slow down the fusion byproducts youd normally be spitting out in space to less radioactive levels on the ground.

Has there ever been anything on recovering crit-to-immobility hovers? Does one simply pick it up with a bigger tread?

Might there be something about towing it with some combo of crits? :angel:
