My terrain set up
« on: 08 September 2020, 14:22:06 »
I finally have enough terrain made that I want to show it off some.
It's made out of sheets of insulation, coated in latex paint, and covered with railroad turf.
Each piece has two sides, the green has a mars like terrain opposite and the water has a snow pattern for the reverse.

Thank you, I tried to make it as modular as possible.  Buildings are my next step and maybe some bridges.

The pictures are a little small.  If you open them in a new tab and delete the "m" before the .jpg it'll be full size.

that looks great.
Particular like the double sided idea, does that work with the rough surfaces without damaging them or loosing material?

you can put a width=<#pixels> attribute inside the image tag to link to the larger images, showing them as a preview size until clicked.

They stick well as long as they aren't rubbed together.

I'll try the pixel set option next time.

Well done!

I did something similar and I know how repetitive it can be to create those terrain tiles.

I like that they are double sided.

Awesome work!
Especially them being double-sided, such a clever idea. Thanks for sharing

I like modular terrain. Less tonnage per usage :) , which is great in public transport.
