Question, nothing that I can think of...but images of the Kurita 3145 Lance Pack were promised a while back & are still not up. Maybe he is referencing that? Everything else was announced except for a couple minis that weren't done in time.

My intention was to get some up before I left for Cincy but ran out of time. Been getting everything ready for the show last three days. Will get some up tomorrow before hall opens.

Ahhh don't stress yourself Speck, GenCon should be the focus right now, not us that cannot attend. When you get back from GenCon...then throw up some pics!

It's a Blakist plot...

I'm really looking forward to the diorama this year; I'm hoping to see some new Cappellan schemes. To be fair though the diorama is always one of my favourite things :)

Yup, final pieces of the board were delivered and I've heard it's at the hotel so it will be up tomorrow! :)

Started putting my first Ares together last night. This thing goes together beautifully. When I first started dry fitting the pieces I was a little worried about the feet. They're not flat so either the outside or inside toe will be up a bit. Once I started gluing it together I realized how genius this was. Made balancing the legs and hips so much easier. O0

Is the Ares very posable? I do NOT plan on assembling mine in a standing pose when I get one, so I'm wondering how much cutting I'll have to do to get a dynamic pose out of it.

The knees and hips aren't ball joints, but they curved so you could adjust the angles. The part where the arms attaches to the shoulders are ball joints. I'll try to post pictures of pieces a little later.

I think for now I'm just sticking with the one set of legs and swapping out torsos as needed. Probably build at least 2 leg sets standing and then experiment with the other 4

It'll require a lot of work on the toes to get them to look right, but it looks like my plan to assemble a tripod at a full gallop is feasible. O0

It is, though I suggest building two down, one up unless you plan to use large brass rod for pinning. I didn't bend the toes, but it looks fun with one leg up. :)

Definitely gonna pin the load-bearing leg, all the way up to the torso. The idea is for only one leg on the ground, extended as straight as possible, and angled towards the back as it is pushing the 'mech forward. Another leg will be curled up as high as parts allow, and angled slightly forward, as it is the last leg to take a step and is swinging forward for its next one. The third leg will also be as straight as possible, reaching as far forward as it can, as it is the next leg to hit the ground. Fun part is, none of these legs need to be in any particular order, I can literally randomly choose which leg is going to be in which pose, and any arrangement will work just fine.

My only sadness is that the Ares's arms are so short/forward torso is so long, otherwise I'd have the hand arm reaching as far forward as it can, as if the Ares was about to try and grab another 'mech's face. >:D

Weirdo, sounds like a plan...but have you considered one of the Variants with an arm? Their actual arms seem rather long...but I haven't personally seen it yet (will have all 5 in my hands tonight).

That's my plan, but everything I've seen implies that the arms with hands are still not long enough to really extend forward of the head.
