Found out the old CBT forums got nuked, so i'll start a new thread. Haven't drawn any BT stuff (or much of anything) due to school. This is the only new BT thing I have that is new - the Lei Shen (Chinese for "Thunder God").

Not finished yet. Gotta redesign the lower legs so the ankles aren't all locked up, upon other things. Was originally meant to be a helicopter, but turned into a 'mech after the helicopter failed to take shape. :(

No loadout yet. Probably some ER-Large laser, 2 ER Medium Lasers, a LPPC w/ Capacitor + Armor, and 2 LBX-somethings. Has jump jets. No idea on the weight either. I'll have open up Solaris Skunk Werks later to mash together something.

Very nice work. I really like the scale to the figures. Look to be a high end medium or a heavy at the lower end of the spectrum, in terms of mass.

...You might be sad to know, the AU project I was working on is running into MORE art problems - people of Deviantart don't even bother returning e-mails when they learn of my pittance of a budget. I haven't gone to tattoo artists yet, but its getting close.

I'm sorry to hear that :(. Unfortunately, I probably can't help you out, since I've enrolled in organic chemistry and lab during the summer vacation #P. I've also a illustration book art stuff lined that will use the remainder of my time. Unless you can use sketched 'mech art I've already made (like the Lei Shen here), I'm afraid I won't have much to give you. :-\

Hum...I really dig this guy E, but from the knees down it feels like the design style took a different turn.

...That's ok - a pointer in the right direction was all I asked for. After all, we all need to make an income - I'm just waiting to look at more of the art from TRO: 3063. There's a couple mechs in there I'd like to have minis of. Sounds like life's getting busy for you, good luck!

No mechs, but got some vehicle sketches I did for practice. Although non are really specifically made for BT (SSW don't have any vehicle editing :( ), i guess someone can convert them easy enough.

Planning to donate these to Steve's 3063 if he needed them.

...Anyway, Lei Shen reminds me of something... (Other than the Stone Rhino, with that rounded body and big dorsal) ...but I just can't put my finger on what exactly it reminds me of...

Anyway, good to see your designs are coming back!

A Marauder? That's what it was supposed to be (custom design with the X-tech) before I changed the name so I don't get sued. :D

It's a UAC/5. Given that it's an 9-ton weapon (heavier than most helicopters), I'd assume it has to be pretty damn huge. You can blame BT's weapon masses. ;D

I think the gut cannon on the helo is about spot on for BT. It reminds me a little of the Hellhound in Patlabor 2.

Well considering that many AC-5s are firing hypervelocity 50 to 80mm shells, with 120mm being not unheard of in this class range, the size is not to disconcerting.

The counter recoil apparatus is probably going to have to be Farly hefty as well to handle the recoil...

The helicopter and Fighter look quite good though.

I think the Legionnaire's RAC5 was described as 6, 55 mM barrels in the one DA novel I read. They do have to be able to lob 1/3 ton of munitions down-range per turn O0

Yes, they can be 50mm or even 80mm, IIRC one of the novels mentions (endgame, start of the novel) the 7F Jagermech having an 80mm RAC-5.

Oooh, yes. My favorite AU tech is the Grapeshot APC - 1/3 of a ton of missile ammo per 'cassette' on a 5-ton trailer... Nevermind. Absolutely, a tractor-trailer combo. It amazes me how few people twig to just how useful they are.

I like your artwork, just BT enough but with a bit of Robotech (RPG) and a bit of Japanese BT to wet the appetite. Any chance we'll see that attack helicopter as inked lineart?
