I received an extra Wolverine II body in with one of the IWM packages.   I decided to try to rework it into a more true "old school" look and feel.

Any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Might try and make the arm baffles more polygonal like the rest of that beautiful mech. Gawd I want one..
Well I was thinking of starting over. I didn't mean this.

Well, you killed the fine details, that's a good start to make it more "old school".

Maybe work on the legs to take away some of their curves and make them more blocky. You have to add a gun sight to the AC and a lunch box to the left hand.  Also, drill out the SRM-6's missile tubes. Also needs antennas on the head.

Really old school would have put the suitcase/ammo clip in the left hand. ;)

Thanks for the Feedback.

I want to keep it a Wolverine II feel without going to to far toward a Unseen Wolverine looks.   SO I am going to pass on the suitcase/ammo clip, changing the SRM ports and changing the legs (the single curved armor area on the calves kind of make it seem a little more of a "II" version in my warped mind)

I really like the suggestion by GRF-1N on the gun sight and will likely that before it goes off for painting.  I also think I might angle in the top of the should plates to get rid of the square look of the current look.

The square look gives it a cool slab of armour tacked on look, I think it works well, but painted it will look rather plain.

Mr Balk,

I've to agree with the earlier post on squaring the legs.  Also, I'd extend the gun barrel and put a rectangular brace underneath.  But that's just me and it is clearly your choice.

Update with suggested changes of:
  • Add sight scope to gun
  • Made legs more boxy at the calves.   Some may have thought I should tackle the feet/toe area, but I like the current look since it matches the torso.   I still need to add a little more detail with some angle work.
  • Beefed up the shoulder armor

Additonal feedback is always welcome.

I'd make it a touch slimmer at the torso joint, if possible.

I'm inclined to agree with DougG but the beast is a real beauty as it is. Nice work as always!

My only concern is looking at the thing, is it that it looks like a hell of a lot of work to slim down that big, bulky torso on the bottom.

The Wolverine is coming along nicely, the gun sight is a brilliant touch and the work on the legs helps give it a more blocky appearance thanks for putting my ideas into your work. Look forward to seeing it painted.

Honestly while the quality of work is good I like the legs better before.
