Gray Watch Protocol - ages, dates, etc
« on: 29 July 2020, 17:48:38 »
Hi guys,

I just picked up the Gray Watch Protocol on Amazon. Great to see some more Dark Age fiction!

One question though, in the opening chapters the main character states she fought on New Canton and saw her CO Faith Mccarron die fighting the RAF.
FM: 3085 tells us that happened in 3081.
Yet there’s no mention that that was 69 years before the book takes place. No motion that Baxter would have to be what... 87 or so, if she was in the saddle as an 18 year old in 3081.
I mean, that’s Black Widow territory there, but it’s just noted in the book.

A couple pages later, Isabelle Fisk is described as “aged” however. The text goes in to say Fisk spoke at Baxter”s graduation.
According to Era Repprt: 3145, Fisk was born in 3083. After the battle of New Canton. I’m unsure how she’s speaking at Baxter’s graduation.

Just wondering if I’ve missed something or if there’s an explanation.

And please, don’t take this as a snide “gotcha!” Moment on my behalf, I’m just curious/logging it.
Cheers!
