All I could find about the Vegan Rangers upgrades says most have a primary weapon upgraded and Beta Regiment used XL engines in most Mechs. I gave them a 40% overall upgrade ratio.

The revised Merc Field Manual gave them an "A" rating on upgrades, putting them on par with the Kell Hounds or Wolf Dragoons. That's set in 3067, I think after the FedCom Civil War.

But what's done is done I suppose. They were just one of my favorite units.

  Persistence

Galaxy Commander Stevic Hawker, commander Clan Wolf Omega Galaxy, had grounded his Galaxy at the designated landing zone. He had held many discussions with his Cluster Commanders during the gathering of the Galaxy and on the trip to the surface. None of the original Wolf warriors believed Clan Wolf in Exile had fallen so low as to launch an attack on Tamar. The former Coyote warriors were not so sure, but took the word of the Wolf warriors who actually knew Khan Phelan Kell. On the burn to the planet, his dropship had listened to news broadcasts from across the Inner Sphere and those broadcasts had really caused major conflicts within him. His techs had managed to gain access to an archive of news broadcasts and he now sat in his cabin scanning them. His eyes found and locked onto an article about Word of Blake atrocities. He opened the text file and began reading:

The Word of Blake has committed so many atrocities that they are rapidly gaining on Amaris himself as the worst the Inner Sphere has seen. From the massive destruction on Alphard which killed upwards of 50 million people to the release of a deadly, highly contagious virus on several worlds of the former Marian Hegemony which has caused the Star League to enact a full quarrantine of those worlds. The repeated use of nuclear weapons when faced with resistence has caused massive casualties to Coalition forces.

Now, word has been released that Alphard has been recaptured by Star League Coalition forces made up of SLDF, Clan Nova Cat and Clan Wolf in Exile forces. I had the pleasure of meeting with both Duke Jaime Wolf and Loremaster Daphne Vickers of Clan Wolf in Exile on Sudeten. During our interview, Loremaster Vickers stated that with the unprovoked attack on Alphard and the horrendous losses suffered by Clan Wolf in Exile that the Word of Blake would now face another member of the growing coalition against them. But currently Clan Wolf in Exile was recalling all forces to Sudeten so that they could vote on a new Khan and saKhan
.

Galaxy Commander Hawker stopped reading suddenly, Khan Kell and saKhan Hall were dead? Horrendous losses suffered? He personally knew Loremaster Daphne Vickers and if she was leading the Exile's, there was no way she would order an attack on Tamar using orbital bombardment. Khan Ward was wrong about the Exile's. Suddenly, he knew what he had to do tomorrow.

  23 September 3068

Galaxy Commander Stevic Hawker looked at his assembled Cluster commanders. He wondered if he would face very many Trial's of Refusal over the orders he was about to give. "For years we have suffered the scorn of our fellow Wolves and Khan because of our Warden beliefs. We have suffered the honorless postings hunting bandits, recieving the worst equipment available, but today, we have a chance to change all of that. Years ago Khan Ulric Kerensky tasked Khan Phelan Kell and his Warden's with a mission, today we will join that mission. I firmly believe that Khan Ward sent us on this mission just to be rid of us, that is why we have no warship escort, as far as I know there are no other offensive actions being conducted by any other Wolf unit. How say you?"

Star Colonel Wolfgang Conners, commander 1st Wolf Guards Grenadiers spoke first "I and my Cluster gladly follow your lead Galaxy Commander."

Star Colonel Juanita, commander of the 2nd Wolf Guards Grenadiers stepped forward next "As will I and my Cluster."

Star Colonel Scott Koga, commander of the 100th Assault Cluster stepped forward "I and my warriors have only been a part of Clan Wolf a short year, first we were stripped of our Omni Mechs, then because we are Warden we were scorned by all but those of Omega Galaxy. We will follow you Galaxy Commander."

Star Colonel Mena Robbin, commander 55th Reserve Strike Cluster advanced "Though I have serious doubts about the wisdom of this, I and my Cluster have come to trust you Galaxy Commander, we will abide by your orders."

Star Colonel Warren, commander 3rd Wolf Guards Grenadiers strode forward "I will abide by your orders Galaxy Commander."

Galaxy Commander Hawker nodded at his assembled commanders, "We will conduct Harvest Trials. How you choose to conduct thr Trials I leave up to the individual Cluster commander. I will communicate with our opponents."

Three hours later, Galaxy Commander Hawker led his Command Star representing the Dark Keshik against a Star from the 2nd Wolf Cavalry. In a furious 10 minute fight, he triggered his comms and announced "This is Galaxy Commander Stevik Hawker, the Dark Keshik has been defeated."

The response was immediate, "Galaxy Commander Stevik Hawker, this is Star Colonel Jacob, I accept the Dark Keshik as Isorla."

The Harvest Trials lasted the entire day, with Star Colonel Scott Koga and the 100th Assault Cluster drawing the short straw, in Star Colonel Koga's mind and faced the 1st MDF Garrison Brigade during the Harvest Trials. It really was no fair contest, the 100th Assault Cluster was using very few even Star League equipped mechs with most being captured and repaired designs from the intial invasion, where the 1st MDF Garrison Brigade faced the 100th Assault Cluster using Clan 2nd Line machines. Finally, Star Colonel Koga made the communication "This is Star Colonel Scott Koga, the 100th Assault Cluster is defeated."

"This is Brgadier General Edna, I claim the 100th Assault Cluster as Isorla and declare you all Abtakha. Welcome to the MDF Star Colonel, have your Cluster follow us into our base and let us see about properly equipping you to MDF standards. Then we shall retire and discuss all the things that you can expect from your new home."

 24 September 3068

Star Colonel Scott Koga and his warriors looked inside the massive warehouse and he felt a smile beginning to cross his face. Beside him Brigadier General Edna could not help but smile as she caught several other new members smiling. She decided to go easy on the new Star Colonel "I cannot afford to outfit all your warriors wth Omni Mechs at this time, but we will change that soon. I will send a message back home and soon have you all fully outfitted. Until then, Your Command Trinary will be Omni equipped, all of your other warriors will have their pick of the remaining mechs or as you see fit. At least your Elementals have their armor."

Across the massive compound, Star Colonel Jacob was going thru much the same thing with Galaxy Commander Stevic Hawker and the 4 Clusters of warriors joining Clan Wolf in Exile. Only he did not have the equipment to upgrade this Galaxy.

 Sudeten

Duke Jaime Wolf and Loremaster Daphne Vickers stood watching the grounding of Dropships from the Outer March. In orbit, the CWiE Ulric Kerensky, Cameron Battlecruiser and CWiE Gauntlet, Liberator class Cruiser were being turned over to Clan Wolf in Exile personnel. A rapidly approaching Wolf technician caught both of their eye's and they shared a glance wondering what news he might be bringing. The technician handed Loremaster Vickers the message which she quickly read. Duke Wolf watched as a smile spread across her face then she handed him the message slip. After reading the message Jaime Wolf spoke.

"Almost a complete Galaxy of warriors came over, equipping them after the losses on Alphard will stretch your resources Loremaster Vickers." Jaime said

"Yes it will do that. But equipment is easier than trained warriors to come by. We are already hard pressed to man the returned warships." Loremaster Vickers said

"As will my Dragoons, 3 warships have arrived at Demeter and are undergoing refits. I am already transferring Dragoon crews from my Jumpship and Dropship crews to man them. The only bright spot is with the arrival of the needed material to allow both of us to resume production of Clan XL engines along with the design specs from Mitchell Battlemechs, we can truely begin rebuilding our forces. What are your current plans Loremaster? I see no need in us duplicating production any more than we need to." Jaime Wold said

"Our WC Site 1 complex is coming online now, I have ordered it to produce the Phantom and Cougar Omni Mech, plus we will produce the Conjurer and Vixen Mechs. WC Site 3 produces the Timber Wolf and Puma Omni Mechs but we are adding a 2nd line for Timber Wolf's." Lormaster Vickers said

"I think we can make this work, my techs have looked over the designs sent to us from Duke Mitchell. We expanded Olivetti Weaponry quite a bit during the work done to finish upgrading it. MY current plans for production are thus:

Thunderbolt 5Sb 2 line for 72 per year (est time to convert lines 3 months)
Thunderbolt 7S 2 lines for 72 per year (6 months, converts to Thunderbolt 5Sb (C)
Warhammer 7A 2 lines for 72 per year (est time to convert lines 3 months)
Warhammer 7S 2 lines for 72 per year (6 months, converts to Warhammer 7A (C)
Gallowglas WD 2 lines for 72 per year (est time to convert 1 month)
Shogun C 1 line for 18 per year (est time to convert 1 month)
Marauder II C 1 line for 18 per year (est time to convert 2 months)
Imp C 1 line for 18 per year (est time to convert 2 months)
Highlander IIC 1 line for 24 per year (est time to convert 2 months)
Guillotine IIC 1 line for 24 per year (est time to convert 1 month)
Archer 4M (C) 1 line for 36 per year (est time to convert 1 month)

Daishi 2 line for 36 per year (est time to convert 2 months)
Grendel 2 lines for 72 per year (est time to convert 1 month)
Cougar 2 lines for 72 per year (est time to convert 1 month)

In addition, we will be adding additional lines to produce the Badger and Bandit tanks. One line for Badgers and at least 3 lines for Bandit's. I think if your Wolves would be willing to work out some trades, between our 2 production abilities, we can rebuild our force in record time." Jaime Wolf stated

"Any long term deal will have to await the election of a new Khan, but I am sure we can work something out Duke Wolf." Loremaster Vickers responded.

 Winfield

Clan Ice Hellion's Zeta Galaxy leaped into the Zenith Jump Point and quickly secured the recharge station then began their burn for the planet 9 days away.

 Persistence

Alarms once again sounded across the massive MDF base. Brigadier General Edna entered the command post to find a completely different Clan had entered the system. Only this time it had warship escorts, 2 Aegis Cruisers, Taney and Chaos Sailor and Carrack Transport, Maker. She turned when Star Colonel Jacob, Galaxy Commander Hawker and Star Colonel Koga entered the command post. "Looks like Clan Ice Hellion has decided to pay us a visit." She informed them.

"Hellion's, why could it not be the Falcon's or some other Clan worth fighting. As far as I am concerned, the only threat they pose is the warships." Star Colonel Jacob sneered

"Well, I too would prefer a better foe, but as for their warships, well, I am about to do something about that for I have a few friends a few days away I am about to send a message to. They will handle the warships." Brigadier General Edna said

 Here

General Tom Stancel, 12th Vegan Rangers, had just over 2 companies of Mechs, 1 Infantry Battalion and a few tanks left to him. It had taken days to gather them into some sort of combat command. They had bided their time and when they saw the Hellion Dropships boost for orbit they came out of hiding and began hitting the Flurry Cluster left to garrison the planet. The first raid netted them much needed supplies to make repairs. Soon they would really take the fight back to the enemy.

YEAH, he's back!
Why does everyone "Fire at Will"? Is he really that bad of a person? And what did he do to make everyone want to shoot him?

  Alphard

Aboard the SLS Iowa, Texas Battleship, Admiral Jackson Daniels watched the massive incoming emergence wave. A small shudder ran thru him as the readouts seemed to grow ever larger. No he knew what those WoB folks had felt watching readings of his fleet making their jump to do battle. Even though he had warning via HPG that the ships were coming, it still did not ease the feeling of doom running thru him suddenly. The first ships to emerge from hyperspace were several Buford II Corvettes that materialized followed by an ever growing fleet. Finally, the incoming fleet was fully in system at the Zenith Jump Point, 133 ships had made the jump.

"Admiral Daniels, we are being hailed." The communication officer announced

"This is Admiral Jackson Daniel's, Commander of the SLDF 1st Fleet." Admiral Daniel's responded

"This is Duke Scott Mitchell. Glad to hear a friendly voice. I bring my Task Force along with most of your 1st Fleet along with the SLDF's 10th Army. Permission to begin recharge operations and to bring my ground troops to the planet for some surface time."

"Permission granted Duke Mitchell. You did not happen to bring any replacement equipment did you?" Admiral Daniel's asked

"I think I can make good any equipment shortfall's anyone is having. I also have my 3 Yardships to assist in any repairs you may need for your ships Admiral. I will have them maneuver towards the shipyards, and bring my supply ship into orbit of the planet. I take it you will meet me on the ground?"

"I gladly accept the offer of your yardships Duke Mitchell, I got a few banged up ships that could do with some work. I will shuttle over to your ship and we can talk on the way to the planet. My XO will remain and assist in getting all these ships sorted out."

"I will be awaiting your arrival Admiral, Duke Mitchell out."

Other Side of the Inner Sphere

 Lackhove

Clan Ice Hellions 77th Hellion Lancers landed and quickly smashed the defending AFFC Armor and Infantry Regiment outside the planet's capitol of Pakpahan City in a vicious 3 hour fight. Star Colonel Freed Hasbrin only had a Supernova Trinary of ground forces, but had 2 Trinary of Omni Fighters.

 Bensinger

Star Colonel Stanley Pastore commanded the Flurry Custer assigned to garrison Bensinger, he had ample infantry for the task, 6 Trinary worth since the planet had been designated by Khan Taney as the collection point for all captured enemy warriors. Here they would be held under guard until such time as Khan Taney decided if they would be accepted into Clan Ice Hellion's Touman. He surveyed the ongoing work by his current prisoners in constructing fencing around the small town selected to house the prisoners. He knew from questioning that his current prisoners were from Beta Regiment, 12th Vegan Rangers. There were 871 prisoners. Inbound were another 1,321 from Apollo, 437 from Here, 912 from Toland, 722 from Steelton. Khan Taney had forbidden bondsmen from being taken durng the invasion and for all captured to be transported here.

 Newtown Square

The sudden invasion by Clan Ice Hellion had caused a huge stir within the Lyran State Command. Orders had arrived for the 39th Avalon Hussars RCT to board ships and to head for Barcelona.

 System 8831

Commodore Paul Kilgore commanded the 4 Patrol II Corvettes and 2 Monolith LF Jumpships in his Squadron. Their mission, assigned by Archon Prince Victor Steiner Davion himself, was to patrol deep space outward of the Chainelane Isles and Clan Wolf space, if possible to interdict supply traffic and provide intel gathering. Equipped with the latest Black Box technology for communications, they were currently 3 jumps past the system named Wark, which they had found abandoned by Clan Steel Viper. Every jump had everyone on edge, for they could jump in and possibly discover something they could not defeat. So far, they had found nothing. Another identical mission was 4 months behind his.

  Anywhere

Clan Ice Hellion's 78th and 150th Hellion Lancer's made landfall and quickly engaged the defending mercenary unit, Harlock's Warriors, only on planet for 6 months supported by 2 Militia Infantry Regiments. Colonel Larette Thomas, commander of Harlock's Warriors quickly found that fighting the Clan's was much different than fighting anyone else in the Inner Sphere and that her Regiment was badly under equipped to fight the Clan's due to the lack of extensive upgrades. After 7 hours of watching unit's of her command being overrun by the much swifter and dealier Hellion Mechs, she ordered her command to break contact at all costs and to go to ground where they would conduct a guerrilla campaign until relieved. Three days later, just over a Battalion of Harloc's Warriors had managed to disappear into the heavy forests.

  Somerset

Clan Ice Hellion's 7th Attack Cluster and 40th Hellion Lancers made landfall and quickly found themselves embroiled in heavy fighting against the defending mercenary command, Barber's Marauder IIs. Though outnembered by the invaders, Barber's Marauder IIs took a fearful toll on the invading Hellion's. Khan Asa Taney, leading the 7th Attack Cluster finally resorted to using the Mckenna Battleship, Cage's Pride, to conduct surgical orbital fire on the defending mercenaries. Or as surgical as orbital fire could be anyway. As the mercenary Marauder's staggered from their positions after the bombardment, they came under fierce concentrated fire from the enraged Hellion's. Major Susan Barber, seeing her command down to under a company of effectives had no choice and surrendered her remaining troops. But they had savaged the 150th Hellion Lancer's which could only field just over 2 Trinary at the battle's end.

  Wotan

Clan Ice Hellion's Delta Galaxy found themselves embroiled in heavy fighting against the defending Wotan TMM, rebuilt after the recapture of Wotan from Clan forces. For 3 hours the Wotan TMM managed to hold steadfast against the Hellion's until finally the 53rd Striker Irregulars managed to break the Wotan TMM's left flank defenses and poured into the commands rear area's. Leftenant General Petra Sudets tried to reform her defensive lines but her green troops just were not up to the task, not under heavy fire anyway. As her defensive lines collapsed, the Hellion's renewed their assault with even more fury and the Wotan TMM fled the field, only to be hunted down and destroyed in detail.

  Golandrinas

Clan Ice Hellion's Zeta Prime Galaxy made landfall and found themselves facing 2 Armor Regiments and 3 Infantry Regiments. After 2 hours of heavy fighting, the 47th Skye Heavy Armor Regiment was finally destroyed, but they had badly hurt the 175th Attack Cluster before falling. The 192nd Loxley Hover Regiment fought a running fight against the 52nd Hector Cavaliers, which by the end of the day saw the remaining 2 company's of Hover Tanks flee the field along with part of the 1123rd Gallery Infantry.

  Winfield

Clan Ice Hellion's Zeta Galaxy, upon landing, smashed into the reforming Winfield's Brigade and quickly overwhelmed the green command. After barely 3 hours fighting the defenders fled into the countryside.

  Persistence

With warships escorting the Hellion invasion force, Brigadier General Edna kept all of the Aerospace fighters of her Brigade and Clan Wolf in Exile on the ground in dispersed air bases. She ordered Clan Wolf in Exile forces, now 5 Clusters strong to disperse also while the 1st MDF Garrison Brigade held the factory complex. Galaxy Commander Conner Rood and Beta Galaxy ran into the defenses of the 1st MDF Garrison Brigade and were shocked when their 1st assault was thrown back with heavy losses to the 121st Hellion Lancers, having lost 3 of their 4 Trinaries when they thought they had found a undefended gap in the defenses and rushed in only to find themselves in a deadly fire sack formed by a full Armor Regiment. As the 121st Hellion Lancers were falling back, they came under attack by hidden Clan 2nd Line Mechs of the newest MDF members, the 100th Assault Cluster which managed to destroy a full Trinary of Hellion's before being called back by Brigadier General Edna.

Galaxy Commander Conner Rood pulled his Galaxy back to refit and prepare for the next days fighting. At 3am local time, a call from the orbiting warships announced the arrival of 2 hostile warships at a pirate point and heading to engage the Hellion warships. Aboard MDF Leander, Halsey II Destroyer, Commodore Branden Yuan wished he had his other 2 Halsey II Destroyers with him at this moment, but they were still 2 jumps away and performing a dangerous hot load in their recharge operations when he made the jump to engage the enemy warships. He noted that MDF Belfast, Halsey II Destroyer was matching his manuevers as he watched the plot board and noted that the Hellion Aegis Cruisers began to break orbit and move to intercept his ships. As the oppossing forces began closing rapidly on each other, the Hellion's began launching fighters while others began leaving the atmosphere from the ground.

"Comms, make signal that we might need some more little friends. Launch fighters for CAP." Commodore Yuan ordered

On the surface, Brigadier General Edna gave the order for the combined Aerospace forces of Clan Wolf in Exile and 1st MDF Garrison Brigade to launch from their dispersal fields. Clan Wolf in Exile launched a Binary of Omni Fighters along with 2 Trinary of Aerospace fighters while the MDF launched 24 Omni Fighters and 24 Tyre Aerospace fighters. Like angry wasps, they swarmed for the heavens to inflict pain on their foes.

The sudden appearance of enemy fighters racing for orbit caused the Hellion Carrack, Maker to call out for help in a near panic. This caused confusion among the Hellion Aerospace fighters as some continued racing for the Aegis Cruisers while several Stars broke off to assist the Maker. As the MDF and WiE fighters raced for the lone Carrack, Maker, they began engaging the massively outnumbered Hellion fighters. Detailing 2 Trinary to deal with the enemy fighters, Wing Commander Brian Brussard ordered the remaining fighters to take out the Carrack. Lost among the cloud of rising Aerospace fighters, the commander of the Hellion Carrack never spotted the 4 NL-42 Battle Taxi's that launched with the fighters from the surface.

MDF Leander and MDF Belfast remained fairly close together and Commodore Yuan ordered both warships to target the closest Aegis cruiser in an attempt to knock it from the fight before the 2nd Aegis cruiser could close the distance. "Lead Aegis cruiser entering range in 37 seconds Commodore." The Weapons Officer announced.

"Steady as she goes Weps, when we have good targeting solutions, you are weapons free." Commodore Yuan said

"Enemy missiles inbound!!!" The sensor operator reported

"Steady people, these are Clanners, not Wobbies. They will be standard warheads and not nukes." Commodore Yuan said, at least I hope this Clan Ice Hellion is like the other Clans we know.

Out of the 6 White Shark's inbound, only 1 made it thru the AMS and point defenses to strike the MDF Leander. But now it was the MDF's turn to take a shot. Commodore Yuan "felt" the ship shudder as she fired 4 Heavy Naval Guass rounds at the fast approaching Aegis cruiser. Only 2 of the rounds struck the Aegis Cruiser but they ripped massive amounts of armor off the forward bays of the Taney. MDF Belfast followed the Leander with her Heavy Naval Gauss and was luckier with 3 of her 4 striking home. Two of the massive rounds slammed into the already damaged FLS of the Aegis Cruiser blasting the last of the armor from that section. The 3rd round tore a chunk from the Taney's nose section. The Captain of the Taney ordered the Aegis cruiser to rotate and present a fresh side to the oppossing warships. In another 2 minutes, his NAC's would be in range and he would teach them a lesson in naval warfare. But Commodore Yuan was not a novice, a veteran of both the Battle of Tortuga and Mackolla before being transferred to this command. "Damn Hargel!! Stuff is magic, that last volley should have vented the entire ship. Weps, next volley aim high, you know where." Commodore Yuan ordered

The next volley from both the Leander and Belfast was fired and of the 8 rounds, 2 struck the nose section while 3 rounds slammed into the fresh FRS and ripped massive sheets of armor from the warship, but the final 3 managed to impact their true target and with 2 arriving almost at the same time ripping into the armor surrounding the bridge section of the Aegis, the 3rd round arrived 4 seconds later and tore thru the remaining armor and tearing into the bridge section of the Taney. The sudden loss of control from the bridge cause the engineering section to activate their emergency protocal's and bring the ship to a halt remotely. As the MDF Leander and MDF Belfast passed the wounded Aegis Cruiser, they both launched their Marines for boarding via NL-42 Battle Taxi's. Commodore Yuan now turned his attention to the remaining Aegis Cruiser rapidly closing into firing range.

The second Aegis cruiser was advancing much faster than the first, Commordore Yuan noted, this would probably get within knife fighting range and the Aegis had a nasty broadside. He was sure he felt the ship shudder as it loosed it's first volley of Heavy Naval Guass rounds at the onrushing Aegis Cruiser. Only 2 of the 4 slammed home shredding armor on the Aegis Cruiser. MDF Belfast let loose a volley of Heavy Guass and 3 of it's 4 rounds struck home. Commodore Yuan ordered MDF Belfast to slide slightly "underneath" MDF Leander in an attempt to focus both of their broadsides on the Aegis Cruiser as it passed close off their port side. Belfast completed the move right as the Aegis made it's firing run, raking the Leander with it's powerful broadsides. MDF Leander Took the full brunt of the assault and Commodore Yuan watched the ships monitors as it relayed the damage to the bridge, all the armor was ripped with several rounds penetrating into the ship itself. Leander was holed in 3 places and damage control parties were converging on the area's. But the Aegis Cruiser did not escape unscathed, for the Leanders guns had raked the Aegis Cruiser and those hits combined with MDF Belfast's guns tore into the Aegis Cruiser. Several hits managed to penetrate into the Hellion warship, but the Hargel managed to seal the breaches. MDF Belfast started to manuever in an attempt to keep the Aegis Cruiser in it's gun sights.

The Aegis was starting a roll to present it's undamaged side to the enemy warships. Commodore Yuan and MDF Leander was doing the same thing. MDF Belfast was only able to bring part of it's weapons onto the Aegis and managed to score a few hits. The Aegis lashed out at the Leander again but only part of it's shells struck home, blasting tons of armor from the Leander. Aboard the Leander, her weapons officer targeted the Aegis Cruiser's aft section and fired off his fresh broadside in an attempt to knock out the ships engines. Only a few shells managed to strike home but only blasted tons of armor. MDF Belfast raked the Aegis Cruiser again removing vast amounts of armor from the Aegis Cruiser. Sensors aboard all the ships detected the incoming emergence wave and 3 minutes later, MDF Tribal, Halsey II Destroyer appeared at the pirate point 23,000km from the battle. MDF Tribal launched the 2 Titan II Dropships it carried and began accelerating to join the battle. There was no sign of MDF Cromwell, Halsey II Destoyer.

With the arrival of another Destoyer, Star Commodore Rita Hasbrin signaled her ships defeat and powered down her ships weapons and began to bring her ship to a halt. Aboard the Carrack Transport, the arrival of 4 NL-42 Battle Taxi's and their marines sealed the ships fate. Once aboard the Carrack, the MDF marines managed to capture the Carrack in 4 hours.

On the ground, Galaxy Commander Conner Rood ordered his Galaxy to once again take the to the field. As his Beta Galaxy advanced, scouts reported sensor hits of Mechs approaching on both flanks. Where did they come from, he wondered for he could clearly see the enemy still within their defensive lines. As he issued orders to prepare to face this new development, word came from the landing zone that they were under attack by Battle Armor troops dismounting from Hover tanks. Cursing he ordered the surviving Trinary from the 121st Hellion Lancers to return to the landing zone and repel the enemy attack there. What Galaxy Commander Conner Rood did not know was that during the night, Brigadier General Edna had ordered Clan Wolf in Exile's newest Clusters, in their old Mechs, to man the defensive works and moved her now reinforced and re-equipped Cluster along with her Battle Armor Regiment onto the enemies right flank. The 2nd Wolf Cavalry were on the Hellion's left. Basically, the Hellions were in a box, a loose box, but a box none the less.

The 200th Attack Cluster turned to face the 2nd Wolf Cavalry, reinforced with the Binary of former Star Adder warriors from the 1st MDF Garrison Brigade wile the 90th Striker Irregulars faced off with the 1st MDF Garrison Brigades oversized Mech force. Eager to prove themselves, Star Colonel Koga had argued hard for his 100th Assault Cluster to lead the attack on the Hellion's. Brigadier General Edna resisted for a bit and only agreed when Star Colonel Koga agreed to fight with no Zell, massing fire as needed to bring the enemy down as fast and hard as possible. Armed now with brand new 2nd Line Clan Mechs and a few Omni Mech's, the 100th Assault Cluster slammed into the 90th Striker like a tsunami. Using focused fire and heavier Mechs than the Hellion's, they cut deep into the 90th Striker's formation. As the Hellion's began trying to surround the 100th Assault, Brigadier Edna ordered her Omni Mech Battalion into the fray which kept the 100th Assault from being cut off. Radio call's reported that Hellion Omni Mechs had arrived back at their landing zone and General Edna ordered her 3rd Bttalion to move to assist, 3rd Battalion was equipped with fast Clan 2nd Line Mechs.

While the 1st MDF Garrison Brigade battled the 90th Striker, Clan Wolf in Exile's 2nd Wolf Cavalry hammered away at the 200th Attack Cluster. Using their heavier Omni Mechs, the 2nd Wolf Cavalry was able to deal hold their own and slowly gain the numerical advantage on the 200th Attack Cluster. Galaxy Commander Conner Rood, in his Kit Fox, had been keeping his speed to maximum and though he had managed to avoid any serious damage, his 30 ton Omni was just too light to escape heavy damage forever. As he fired his CERLL and Streak SRM4 at the WiE Timber Wolf with it's back to him, he never saw the Gargoyle D that blew his Kit Foxes left leg off causing him to plow into the ground at 97kph which knocked him out. The sudden loss of of communication with their Galaxy Commander/Cluster Commander caused confusion in the ranks of the 200th Attack Cluster which only made the situation that much worse.

At the Hellion landing zone, the Battle Armor Regiment from the 1st MDF Garrison Brigade had secured the Hellion Dropships, supplies and technicians before the Hellion Trinary made it back to landing zone. What the Hellions found were over 100 Bandit Hover Tanks slashing into their ranks at max speed tearing great chunks of armor off with each pass. As they pushed deeper into the landing zone, they then came under assault from the Battle Armored infantry of the 1st MDF Garrison Brigade. Heavily outnumbered, they began pulling back only to run into the 1st MDF's 3rd Battalion arrviing on the scene. Within an hour, the last Hellion Omni Mech fell to the MDF troops. By nightfall, the battle was over and the Hellion's Beta Galaxy was defeated.

As salvage ooperations began across the battlefield and Hellion prisoners were being brought into the main base of the 1st MDF Garrison Brigade, Brigadier General Edna called a commander's conference. As the various commanders on the ground, weary but riding a high after their victory, she went over the casualty reports and repair estimates from her head tech. She had already spoken to Commodore Yuan and knew she only had MDF Belfast combat ready, but they had captured the Chaos Sailor, Aegis Cruiser basically intact with just heavy armor damage along with the Maker, Carrack Transport. The damage list was not as horrible as she expected:

"We won a huge victory here today. In recognition of Clan Wolf in Exile's assistance, I am granting you all salvage of the Omni Mechs, Omni Fighters and Dropships. The warships will remain under MDF control until such time as Duke Mitchell advises me of their status. We have word that many worlds have fallen to the Hellion's. My techs will assit CLan Wolf in Exile in repairing the damaged captured equipment from out supply stocks here. I have sent word to Lyran State Command asking for orders. Until that time, let's get down to the business of repairing all this stuff." Brigadier General Edna said

Duke Scott Mitchell had arrived on the surface hours before the vast fleet of Dropships began landing all over the planet's surface. During the trip to the planet, he had recieved the equipment needs of the ground forces and already the factory ship was manufacturing replacement equipment. In a large conference room, the various commanders were gathered. The gathering was extremely large, present were:

"For those of you who do not know me, my name is Duke Scott Mitchell, Duke of the Outer March and Commander of this combined Task Force by order of First Lord Katherine Steiner-Davion. In 2 months, we will leave here to drive deep into Free World space and take Gibson. The delay is fpr several reasons. One, we need some time to re-equip units here on Alphard. Two, ground time for ground units. Three, I have word that both Clan Nova Cat and Clan Diamond Shark have forces heading this way. Per Khan Santin West, Kappa Galaxy will be accompanying us, I will be upgrading Kappa Galaxy to front line equipment. I would like them on station before we depart. Khan West is sending Delta Galaxy out here, and is transfering the 246th Battle Cluster to Tau Galaxy to replace losses.

The biggest reason, is it is going to take soem time to organize this large of a force properly. I have some idea's, but want massive input from you commanders. This is way beyond anything I have ever led. Now let's really get down to work on how to organize this massive force."

The emergence wave was large, but expected. Even so, system defenses were on alert and warships were ready for possible trouble. The first ship to emerge was MDF Pelican, Patrol II Corvette followed quickly by the other smaller ships. Within several minutes, the larger vessels materialized. The ships recovered at Ejeda had finally been brought to their new home. Drives were engaged and ships began moving towards the awaiting shipyards for a detailed overhaul and upgrade cycle. Ships began sending detailed information on items needed to be repired or looked at. Boss took note of any problems and detailed crews to handle them once the ships were docked.

Boss was focusing on a request from the AFFC for a budget Destroyer, one that cost half the cost of a Halsey II Destroyer. He had requested more information from the AFFC as to it's planned missions. He could equip it with LF Batteries but no dropship collars, or he could equip it with a couple of dropship collars without LF Batteries. But to keep the cost where he thought they would want it, he could not do both. He would like to keep it at 500,000 ton limit so he could make use of smaller shipyards, plus it would enable them to crank them our in 4.5 months. If he went 600,000 tons, it increased build time to 6 months per ship. He had done some preliminary designs using the old Baron Destroyer as a template and he was quite surprised what he was able to come up with. Of course he had boosted the overall tonnage to 500,000 tons for the design. On board cargo was a little light for his tastes at 28,000 tons but if it was going to be used for short range patrols that should not be an issue. He had also boosted the ships engines to provide a safe thrust of 2g and top thrust of 3g. On par with the Lola III and Halsey II. He had boosted the fighter compliment to 18 and 6 shuttles plus a full company of AFFC Battle Armor for boarding actions.

He had already played with the single Volga Transport that they had aquirred in trade from Clan Nova Cat. To keep costs down, he had removed the LF batteries from the design, left the 4 Dropship collars. He had ripped all the weapons off the design and reconfigured to a ammo free design boosting anti-fighter and anti-missile defenses. He had also boosted fighter compliment to 24 fighters, 6 small craft and boosted fuel bunkerage. Internal cargo was just shy of 209,000 tons. He also added bunk space for all the crew, attached support personnel and 56 embarked marines for security. Price 10 billion C-Bills. He planned to offer these for sale to the AFFC, because a single one could do the job of 2.5 Carracks for under the cost of 2 Carracks. Production time was 8 months for each ship.

His current build for the Texas Battleship that just arrived was a major upgrade of the warship. It was going to be expensive though. He planned to remove the Killer Whale launchers in the FLS and FRS and replace them with Tele-Operated Kraken Launchers with plenty of ammo. He also planned to increase the ammunition of the other AR-10 launchers and add Killer Whale missiles there. The Nose and Aft sections would also see the addition of a NL/45 bay to each location, the same size as the other Naval Laser bays. He added in massive anti-fighter, anti-missile defenses and point defenses to each location with 6,000 double heat sinks. He was boosting on board fighters to 96 in 2 bays. The addition of 112 marines, bunks for all embarked crew, a massive increase of fuel bunkerage, HPG and Large Naval Comm Scanner and LF Batteries rounded out the upgrades. Cargo was still respectable at just under 200,000 tons. The upgrade was expected to take 6 months.

For newly arrived Aegis and Essex, he planned to hold off on any major upgrades until advised by Duke Scott Mitchell. Since the MDF did not use either ship at all. They did not use the Texas either, but no way was he going to pass up the chance to play with one.

He had spent the last few months playing with the captured equipment from Sterope and working with the weapons guru's down on the planet, they had managed to reverse engineer the weapons. He had spent the last month playing with designs using them and had come up with a decent design for a "pocket" warship for use as a system defense boat. Each of the three nose arcs were equipped with 4 AR-10, 6 Medium Sub Cap Cannons, 6 CLPL and 5 Laser AMS while the three aft arcs were each equipped with 8 Large Sub Cap Lasers, 6 CLPL and 5 Laser AMS. Each AR-10 Launcher was fully stocked with 10 shots of Killer Whale, White Shark and Barracuda Missiles, while the sub capitol cannons had 30 shots for each. 12 Aerospace Fighters and 6 small craft give reasonable long range strike power and 25 BA Marines helped during any boarding actions. Clad in 503 tons of Heavy Ferro-Aluminium and 1200 double heat sinks with plush quarters help the ship remain on station for a long time. A hair over 9700 tons of cargo and 1,000 tons of fuel allow a long on station time between resupply. Construction time was roughly 4 months at a cost of 2.8 billion C-Bills each. His current plan in his head was to deploy 5 of the Poseidon System Defense as a squadron. This would allow each squadron to be deployed on a single Tarawa Transport for additional support. Plus he had designed the ship with maybe selling some to Clan Nova Cat, Wolf in Exile and Wolf Dragoon's, main reason he set the marines using Clan spec.

The days had passed and it had been decided that the the Task Force would be split up into 2 major forces. Overall command would rest with Duke Scott Mitchell per First Lord Katherine Steiner Davions orders, but he would command his orginal Task Force, Admiral Jackson Daniels would command the SLDF Task Force in space and General Cynthia Byrd, commander of the 10th SLDF Army would command all ground forces of the SLDF. It was still a massive force being deployed.

  Persistence

Galaxy Commander Stevic Hawker was once again a very happy Wolf as he walked the massive hanger bays filled with Omni Mechs being repaired by swarms of technicians from Clan Wolf in Exile, the 1st MDF Garrison Brigade, his techs and even techs taken from Clan Ice Hellion. Though the 97 Omni Mechs granted to him by Brigadier General Edna would not fully equip all of his forces, it was much better than he could have dreamed of. He was curious why Star Colonel Jacob accepted the ruling that all Clan Ice Hellion personnel would remain in MDF custody, including those taken by Wolf forces. He made a mental note to ask about this at a later time, but right now, he decided that it would not be wise to rock the boat.

Word had arrived from Loremaster Vickers that his Omega Galaxy was being renamed Beta Galaxy of Clan Wolf in Exile. In addition, all Clan Wolf in Exile forces were to return to Sudeten as soon as possible, no later than November 15.

  Sudeten

Duke Jaime Wolf had dispatched Beta Brigade to assist in repelling Clan Ice Hellion's assault into the Federated Commonwealth. The former Galaxy of Clan Nova Cat was being reorganized as Epsilon Regiment. To aid the rapid adjustments, he decided to keep the Clan organization as much as possible.

  Epsilon Regiment

Command Cluster (former 13th Garrison) - 30 Mechs
1st WD Battle Cluster (former 14th Garr) - 45 Mechs
2nd WD Battle Cluster (former 15th Garr) - 45 Mechs
3rd WD Battle Cluster (former 153rd Garr) - 45 Mechs
Epsilon Armor (former 115th Garr) - 100 Armor in 5 Binary
Epsilon BA - 2 Elemental Trinary

Recruitment of new personnel for the Dragoon's was going slow but steady. Aided by the AFFC, his Dragoon's had recruited almost enough retired Mechwarriors and other personnel to allow him to seriously begin rebuilding Gamma Regiment. He figure at least 2 years before he would consider them ready. Most were still undergoing background checks by his limited Wolfnet personnel.

The best was that most of the Protectorate population had finally been swayed or at least they did not take to the streets in protest any longer. He looked out the window at the large Spaceport where 3 Dropships were being readied to head for Stonarboi. There they would begin conducting more detailed survey's of the planet aided by survey's conducted by Archon Prince Victor Steiner Davion;s people. Plus they would establish the first colony on the world. Only 3,500 people, mainly construction workers, but it would be a start. Duke Jaime Wolf was glad for the long talks with Duke Mitchell during the long journey's and he was taking pages from Scott's lessons on getting planet's up and going rapidly. First, discover the best places to establish towns, build the needed basic infrastructure and housing and only then bring in colonists in numbers.

Clan Snow Raven saKhan Bryn Cooper had been given the task of over seeing the last of Clan Snow Ravens moves to the Inner Sphere. Today, he had a meeting with ilChis Damien Carmichael that had been requested. As ilChis Carmichael entered his office, saKhan Cooper put away the datapad he had been reading.

"ilChis Carmichael, I am sorry for the delay in meeting with you, but it has been a busy time for me. What can I do for you today?" saKhan Cooper asked

"Thank you for meeting with me saKhan Cooper. I have a request from my Khan to present to you. She asks what are Clan Snow Ravens intentions with your enclaves in the Home Worlds? It is common knowledge that your Clan is moving to the Inner Sphere." ilChis Carmichael inquirred

"I take it that your Khan would like for Clan Snow Raven to cede to Clan Blood Spirit our enclaves. Though I am sure it could be arranged, let me first offer some advice. Clan Blood Spirit has always been a good friend to Clan Snow Raven, so I offer this advice. I strongly advise your Khan to seriously think about making a move. Discard this hatred of the Inner Sphere. You have seen the news, same as I. Clan Nova Cat, long abjurred have grown and even surpassed in strength since their move. The Home Worlds are about to get very dangerous soon. Already we have seen the start with the massive defeat the Adders suffered not a month ago. The least Khan Schmitt could do would be to maybe send an advance party to the Inner Sphere, I would even pledge Clan Snow Raven to escort your force to the Inner Sphere with us. Even help your clan to establish contacts with those in the Inner Sphere who have shown to be trustworthy." saKhan Cooper said

"I will convey your advice to my Khan. As to your enclaves, what would Clan Snow Raven require for Clan Blood Spirit to gain control of them on your departure?" ilChis Carmichael asked

"Though I feel that it would overstretch Clan Blood Spirit, in honor of our long friendship, all that Clan Snow Raven asks is that Khan Schmitt give very serious thought to my proposal and advice." saKhan Cooper said, even as deep in his heart he knew he was possibly sealing Clan Blood Spirits demise.

"Thank you saKhan Cooper. I will so advise Khan Schmitt of our conversation today." ilChis Carmichael stated as he rose to leave

"One last thing, inform Khan Schmitt not to delay a decision, for we leave very soon, less than 6 months from today." saKhan Cooper said

 Twycross

saKhan Angus Labov, Clan Diamond Shark was very pleased with the progress made since their arrival on Twycross. There were now 1,085,000 lower caste on planet and progress on upgrading the massive Trellshire Heavy Industries factory complex was proceeding smoothly. Due to the weather conditions on the planet, excavation had begun on a location to house the DS Aero Assembly Site Rho. All of Gamma Galaxy was on the planet and Khan Barbara Sennet had notified him that that Zeta Galaxy, minus the 27th Combined Strike Cluster was also inbound for Twycross having secured a pledge from Archon Prince Victor Steiner Davion to allow use of the command circuit for a little longer to make this happen.

saKhan Labov looked at the next data pad detailing the planned production of the Trellshire factory. Where it was once a large factory, it was going to reach the massive scale very quickly.

  Trellshire Heavy Industries

3 Elemental Production Lines - time to completion 4 months, production est per line 100 suits per month
1 Piranha 3 Production Line - time to completion 2 months, production est 12 per month
1 Horned Owl Production Line - time to completion 2 months, production est 12 per month
2 Conjurer Production Lines - time to completion 3 months, production est per line 10 per month
2 Rifleman IIC Production Lines - time to completion 4 months, production est per line 8 per month
2 Warhammer IIC Production Lines - time to completion 5 months, production est per line 5 per month
4 Phoenix Hawk IIC Production Lines - time to completion 6 months, production est per line 4 per month
4 Production Lines Idle, awaiting decision on production

Overall, things were proceeding rapidly. Merchant Factor Lorenzo had even secured imports of raw material from the Federated Commonwealth in exchange for several production runs of Conjurer and Warhammer IIC. The biggest bonus was the large Harjel deposit in system. Word was just starting on mining the precious Harjel and getting it ready for processing. Merchant Factor Lorenzo was also attempting to negotiate a deal with Clan Wolf in Exile and Duke Wolf on securing production rights on the Demolisher C and new Sturmfeur C being built on Sudeten.

  Cooperland

Khan Sennet, Clan Dimaond Shark, had the exact same data pad information that saKhan Labov had on Twycross. Where saKhan Labov thought things were progressing quickly, which they were, Khan Sennet paid closer attention to Merchant Factor Larenzo's warning on the need for large amounts of ores for the production of Clan spec XL engines. Though Twycross had the needed ores, they were dificult to mine there, escpecially in the amounts needed. She faced the same issue here on Cooperland. But she also had learned from Khan West of Clan Nova Cat that it would be wise to strike a deal with Duke Scott Mitchell for the needed rare ores. But he also cautioned her that he would probably drive a very hard bargain for the ores. She would contact Craig, Duke Mitchell's current head of production and see what she could work out.

Khan Karianna Schmitt had recieved the communication from ilChis Carmichael and had to choke back the bile at the thought of moving to the Inner Sphere. She felt the anger inside her start to boil at saKhan Cooper's hint that Clan Blood Spirit might not be able to stand on their own. They had just won a great victory at Albion after all. A knock at the door caused her to wave in her saKhan Troy Boques and Loremaster Bayle Campbell, pointing them to seats. Once they had gotten seated she began.

"I take it you have both seen this crap sent from ilChis Carmichael?" Khan Schmitt asked

Both nodded that they had, but Loremaster Campbell was the only one to stir slightly, which only caused Khan Schmitt to focus attention on him. "And what do you think of this load of tripe Loremaster Campbell?"

"My Khan, I will confess that the idea is not completely unpleasant to me. We have discussed before trying to find ways to increase our access to raw material and such. From what I have gleened from our Watch, Clan Nova Cat has done quite well in the Inner Sphere. The fact that many other Clans have made the move just adds to the possible justification on maybe taking the Ravens up on their offer. It would not have to be a large scale move, not yet anyway. I could see the value in maybe taking a single Galaxy, escorting say 1 to 2 Million lower caste and finding a location to settle. If we find a suitable world, they could begin preparing the location for more arrival's." Loremaster Campbell stated

"And what do you think saKhan Boques?" Khan Schmitt asked

"Personally, I find the idea rather disgusting. But I can also see the possible merit in the idea. Worst case, we find it is not a viable option and we recall them. But what if we do locate a suitable location to settle, possibly a place that could easily see to our Clan's needs?" saKhan Boques replied

"So neither of you see a true downside to this idea? If we do this, what would you send and who would lead the mission?" Khan Schmitt asked

"I would have no objections to leading the mission my Khan." Loremaster Campbell said and then continued "If you decide to undertake this operation, I would ask to take Iota Galaxy but reinforce it from it's current 3 Clusters to 6 Clusters by transferring either Tau Galaxy or Upsilon Galaxy into Iota Galaxy. Though I would prefer to take Omega Galaxy, I do not want to weaken us here in the Home Worlds. I would have 6 Clusters of troops with me either way. I will not ask for any of our few warships. Transporting the amount of personnel we just discussed would take a large portion of our transports. Plus we would need to take the needed material for limited production abilities. For that is the only thing that would make this a viable operation, we would need a way to resupply independent of our worlds here." Loremaster Campbell stated

"So, it grows even more costly, for now we would have to dismantle and ship precious industry. I am not sure that would be a wise thing." Khan Schmitt said

"Neg my Khan, we only need the plans for a factory and the basic means of constructing it from scratch. I will need experienced Technicians and Scientists to aid me in developing a concise plan and I would need to take them with me. But we need to address the transportation needs first." Loremaster Campbell said

"Then I will contact ilChis Carmichael and have him inquire if the Ravens can assist in this." Khan Schmitt stated, still uneasy with this idea

 Gibson

The Master was tired of listening to the nonstop droning of the Precentor conducting the daily brief. Finally he had reached his limit "Enough Precentor. Please spare me the details just this once. Get to the section you know I want to hear."

The Precentor stopped and clicked on the video feed, the monitor on the wall showed a video of a massive shipyard complex. "This is the Irian shipyard at Clipperton. After we lost Terra, we halted the construction of civilian jumpships and converted the yards to better uses. There are now 20 slips in the once civilian complex. As you know when we took Terra, we recovered the plans for the SLDF's old Casper Drone warships. We managed to get our hands on the plans and computer programming from the shipyards that the Federated Commonwealth gave to the Draconis Combine and it has greatly increased the speed of construction." As he spoke, the video clearly showed ships leaving the slips at the massive complex "As you can see, those are Casper Drones leaving the shipyards 2 months ago. They have completed their test runs and we now have 10 stationed here at Gibson and the other 10 at Clipperton. In 4 months we will have another 20 Casper Drones. Production takes roughly 5 months with another month of testing before we declare the ship deployment ready."

The Precentor clicked to another video feed. On the screen was a massive space station. "This shows you the first M-9 Pavise SDS Station activated since the fall of the original Star League. It is currently in orbit of Gibson. Another is roughly 5 months to completion here above Gibson. We now have a functioning SDS network that when combined with our ground mounted SDS facilities will make Gibson the safest planet known. We have also completed 20 of the original M3 Drone which also mates with the Casper control system and are currently building the first 20 Dragua Assault Interceptor, also using a Casper Drone. These will be completed in roughly 4 months."

The Master could only smile broadly, for he had been briefed on the construction plans, but this was the first confirmation that the massive investment was paying off.

1 November 3068
  Clipperton

Amanda Tannenbom piloted her shuttle from the Zenith Recharge Station back to the independent Star Lord Jumpship awaiting it's load of dropships. Her sharp eyes and memory kept mental note of everything she had seen in the 4 days they had been in system. And what she had seen was very worrisome. Both jump points were guarded by no less than 5 warships each with another 2 near the civilian and military shipyard complexes. During her short downtime aboard the Recharge Station, she had singled out a few of the male crew aboard the large station and during idle talk learned that a group of 10 warships with not a single crewmember aboard had jumped out for Gibson a week ago. Two weeks ago, a Texas Battleship had left for Gibson accompanied by 3 new Agamemnon Cruiser's to join the ever growing fleet over Gibson.

For ten years, she had been working for Ships Master Jules Munlay as a shuttle pilot. Every 6 months or so they would catch a load coming into Clipperton. But her primary employer was MIIO, more specific MI4. Several months ago she had gotten word that MIIO was keenly interested in current system defenses of Gibson and Clipperton. Well she had the Clipperton information, but Gibson was a closed system. As far as she could tell, only WoB Jumpships entered that system. It would be another 3 weeks before she could send out her report via Black Box. Her last visit she had reported the increased size of the shipyards located at Clipperton along with reports of "upgrades" being done to those very yards. But now she had the information on what those yards had been up to, building warships. She really wanted to get out of this system and back to Ashburton, which for the last 10 years was home to her. She was due a weeks leave once they arrived.

 Loyalty

Sydney Deakin-Jones, CEO SelaSys Inc, had watched the boom in ship building over the last 15 years increase to fevered pitches. Taking over from his father 6 years ago, he had immediately spent a large part of their fortune expanding their current shipyards only to find out the hard way that it was almost impossible to compete outside of the Free Worlds League or Periphery. When prospective buyers came in, the moment they learned that it would take just over a year to build their Star Lord Jumpship, they almost always scoffed and said "We can get a Star Lord from Universal Air in the Federated Commonwealth in less than 6 months time". This had caused him massive headaches. So he had swallowed a major pill by doing business with the Word of Blake. Five of his shipyards had been moved to a distance away from his other yards and placed under a heavy security blanket 4 years ago. All 5 of those yards had been greatly enlarged.

But today, he watched as those yards bore their fruit as 2 Texas Battleships and 3 Cameron Battlecruisers left their docks under Word of Blake control. It had taken years and huge sums of money to build the needed infrastructure to enable his company to build the massive warships. But the amount of money his company had made plus the promised upgrades to all his shipyards had made it all worthwhile. He was just glad that the Word of Blake had forked out the cash to buy the design specs from Illium Shipyards who had won the SLDF contract years ago to construct those ships.

 Terra

Quitus Allard and his teams had basically completed their work. It had been determined that rooting out WoB sleepers would be almost impossible. Most of the MIIO agents had been returned to the Federated Commonwealth. But Quintus and a few had remained on Terra. With First Lord Katherine Steiner Davion's blessing, they had worked with ROM digging thru many different computer systems looking at records in attempts to determine what the WoB might have uncovered during their short say on Terra. Only recently had they begun digging thru computer records dating from the old Star League. Every day, as new information from the original Star League had come to light, Quintus had cursed Comstar almost non stop for hiding the technology and such from the rest of the Inner Sphere. Right here, in these data banks were Terraforming methods, advanced water purification techniques, advanced medical. So much information that would have saved billions of people over the centuries, all kept hidden from everyone.

The last week had been spent cracking the password protected data banks concerning the orginal SLDF. But today the geeks had cracked the passwords and gotten into the administrators menu's. Quintus could barely restrain himself not to strangle the slow geek before him as he surfed thru the administration logs. Just as he was about to belt the geek upside the head to hurry him up, the geek had whistled and turned "Sir, these databanks have been accessed and many files copied." He had said

"And exactly what did they copy?" Quintus asked in his most sinister voice, which seemed to not faze the MIIO Technology geek at all.

"Well, they copied many files. Like here, this large file is contains a massive list of SLDF caches within the Inner Sphere. This file here, dated February 2779 lists known warship casualties awaiting recovery and salvage from the Liberation War. This massive file here covers the SDS systems the SLDF deployed back then. Basically they downloaded a huge amount of information." The geek said, still scanning the different files.

"So your telling me the WoB basically got their hands on everything." Quintus asked, only now he not only wanted to strangle the geek but his entire family

"That is exactly what I am saying sir. They got their hands on the crown jewels. From the looks of it, they copied everything in here." Was the response

But Quintus was no longer in the room, having left the room heading for the First Lord's office. This information needed to be passed on quickly.
