Sigh.  Ready for this bug to burn out.  :-[

With my local travel area restrictions and now the Governor's new restrictions it will be summertime before I can come up and learn from y'all.

Please keep posting up and I'll keep painting and basing lances.

Yeah, I know it sucks.  Just stay safe and patient and things will blow over eventually.  Look forward to seeing your paint jobs.

Just wanted to let you all know that I am talking to a guy who can 3D print stuff.  Hopefully I'll have some goodies to give people at the next WWE.

Cool... and for Space Cat's question: YES, absolutely!  Though the infantry version of TAG is not quite as cool as the normal kind.  Something about not having a fusion engine to run the laser...

Excellent. I’m trying to finish up my Kurita mixed arms force and was looking for a way to add some variety to the infantry but wanted to make sure it would be legal on the field. My newest mech conversion is using a Hollander main gun to create a Marauder 5S.

Neat... have you picked up Tech Manual?  The pdf is only $15 or so...  The infantry TAG is in there.

I actually have the hardcopy, I think I just couldn't find the specific entry under the infantry weapon selection. Or maybe i was looking in Total War?

Apparently it was TRO 3085 that nerfed the AToW version (which had a 5/10/15 range, vice the 3/6/9 currently).

Ok, since we're all probably going a bit mad due to the looming apocalypse, I'll throw a query out there for the group:

What DCMS force should I make my Kurita collection? I was originally going to go with a Fifth Sword of Light scheme but working with the reds and golds and getting any kind of consistency has been an exercise in frustration. I could probably tough it out to a full company, but would grind my teeth every time I looked at select models in the force. My second choice was the private army of Duke Ricol, notorious bane of the Grey Death Legion, but once again that requires breaking out the red thus I'm on the fence about it.

So what's your favorite Kurita mech division and why should I go with that direction? I'm looking for something that existed pre-jihad, preferably pre-clan so keep that in mind.

Lo, go forth and suggest to me a paint scheme that won't make me shake my first in frustration at my paint table.

I'm a few mechs short of finishing Duke Ricol's Red Hunter Spec Ops group/Tyrell's Terrors - have but need to build the Locust and Shadow Hawk-2K, close to having an Unseen PHawk-1K and the Duke's Marauder.

If you want to do Kurita but avoid red, how about the 6th Ghost regiment?

So Night Stalkers are on the option list.

I'm actually planning on painting (re-painting in some cases) a mixed mech/armor/infantry/air battalion (one company of each) and then doing an additional mech only force in a different scheme as a supporting force. Right now I think it's going to be 2nd Benjamin Regulars for the battalion and Night Stalkers, Legion of Vega, or Sword of Light for the second force.

Not that it matters too much with the NOVA lockdown still in effect, but Huzzah canceled all in-store events for the year until further notice yesterday.

I imagine it will be subject to change once we figure out whats going on with....everything. It's likely difficult to prioritize game events if you can only let "x" number of people in the store at a time. They'll have to figure out some way to juggle M:tG and the various other games that are the bread and butter of their finances first; I could see a rotating "x night/day is y group" with sign ups required.

On the other hand the fiefdom of Space Cat will be open for gaming once individual travel and gathering recommendations/restrictions are lifted. I ain't been doing all this painting for nothing.

Ok, so with the campaign on hold until things settle down, I was thinking about doing a one shot scenario with a twist...

Everyone will get to make their own lists of 12k BV (no aerospace) and must have exactly 6 mechs/vehicles.  Use the BV pricing as if the pilot(s) were a 4 gunner & 5 pilot.  Then a marker will be made for every mech/vehicle and be placed on the board randomly and face down so that no one knows what each marker represents.

Everyone will then have 6 pilots/crews that will be coming on the board in jeeps to race to the markers to man whatever they can find.  The skill of these pilots/crews are 2 gunner and 3 pilot.

I just wanted to throw something together that would be fun to get our BT fix in.  @Spacecat: Would it be ok to use your place again?  I'll bring more Chik-Fil-A nuggets  =)

Just remember that you may not be piloting any Wolverines.  As a heads up, at least 1 Urbanmech will be on the field.

Ok... looks like 5 MAD-4As plus 1 BLR-3M will be only 44 over.  I still object to the BV system in general, but that math seems to work.

Exactamundo.  You can even mix Clan and IS tech.

I am making several list; one of them has the Catapult II with the dual TSEMPs.

Another list has the Marauder 4X just for you there Daryk.

Though 12k bv across 6 units means mostly assaults unless you get clan heavies, but still rather heavy weights.  On average that is.

Sadly, Sarna doesn't provide a BV2 value for the MAD-4X...  ::)

I was thinking of trying for the 2nd or 3rd weekend of June for this game.  Which is best for you all?
