Something different for you all. I wanted to make something for the house. I'm a big of an amateur woodworker. Went down to the local sawmill and picked up some white oak. I made a set of hanging shelves for my paints, which helped get that box of paints off the floor.
This project was done only with hand tools from start to finish except for a plunge router I have to cut the dado in the back of the carcass. No sanding either: all hand planes and scrapers. Finish is a linseed oil varnish and beeswax.
Not sure if the dovetails are ready for prime time, but it works well for me.

No doubt. But until my next project, I hope it stays this way!

Someday. That has been an ongoing thing for about four years now. I started painting it, but then my dad got sick, bought a house, work, and then my mom. I've started working on it again. Maybe by the end of September I will have put the time into it to finish.
