Knight Guard was created in 2766 by the order of the First Lord, Richard Cameron to show the solidarity and unity between the RWM and SLDF. Composed in equal measures of both Terran and Rimworlds mechwarriors, the unit first ran in to problems with the Royal Black Watch, the latter unit seeing the Knight Guard as a joke. Mainly relegated to parade and ceremonial duties, and commanded by a distant relative of the First Lord, it was easy to see how people might think that. The unit has displayed strict professionalism in it's actions on and off the field and all of it's officers have served in front line units before.

Note, command lance considered Fanatical for morale purposes. Command lance spartans are custom refits, dumping all ammo based systems, adding jump jets and having two mechs with BAP and two mechs with GUARDIAN. Maintains heavy use of TAG to spot for friendly Arrow IV elements. The refit has proven to be very heat efficient while somewhat lacking in offensive alpha strike firepower.

This unit is from our tabletop campaign. Of course we never got to fully use it before the Coup happened. Two lances, those composing of Rimmers were conveniently away on an field ex in Alaska on the 27th of December 2766 and while we got our Spartan lance underway quite quickly, the second SLDF lance of Excaliburs and all of our support assests were bombed along with Fort Cameron.
So, now we are fighting just with the command lance. Just had an engagement with four lances from the 141st Amaris Dragoons as they tried to flank the friendly Royal Black Watch. All of the Amaris mechs were downed but we only have one intact spartan left, others have taken a bunch of headshots and Yauman even has an engine and a gyro hit.
