Putting antennae on the Plastics
« on: 27 November 2018, 11:55:37 »
What should I be using as the antennae?  Since they can be flexible is there any trick to getting paint to stick to them?

What models should absolutely have antennae?

My advice? Make the antenna stiff, or don't paint it at all. Flexible means paint will crack. I prefer to use staples trimmed by wire cutter. They hold their shape and paint just fine, and the pointy end is great for teaching jerks how to properly handle other people's property. For flexible antennae, I'd try to find some kind of plastic wire in the appropriate color. Alternatively, stalk your cat or dog until they shed a whisker or two. Do NOT try to pluck existing whiskers, what kind of monster are you?

If you want flexible, buy a boar's hair brush and start pulling bristles. You'll have a lifetime supply. They're black and require no paint.

Used to have one, and that makes sense . . . plus they have already been treated/cleaned so even better . . .
