If it is 3075 is it really Dark Age era?
Either way the icon doesn't take away any fun from this unit.
I'm probably going to use Pepper and Judge Givens as a template for other characters earlier than 3075.  :)

My only regret is that I'm already a member of Battlecorps and thus get this for free. I cannot vote with my wallet and buy it, encouraging more such units.

Yup and this one, in my opinion, would be best described as AToW supplemental rather than Total Warfare unit.
The idea of cleaning up New Avalon judicially brings up in my mind a cross between Judge Dredd and Law and Order.
