Parts ID'ing
« on: 09 August 2018, 18:20:16 »
Got home, and found a nice note: "TSA Inspected".
Of the box that was neatly and tightly packed full of bits and complete 'Mechs from IWM, the box was torn open which probably caused all of those pieces to spill all over the floor.
I know what I got back is missing LOTS of parts and pieces, but these are a few that I can't
exactly identify.
And of course, my notes are gone... apparently because all of it was a national security risk, or something.

Anyway, if anyone would like to take a crack at it, here ya go!
** Edit - we'll call that last one at the left-edge #22; Guess I missed it while zoomed into paint ;)

'Mech #1: Grasshopper 7P
'Mech #2: Talos

1: ?
2: Lobo
3, 8: Phoenix Hawk
4 Arctic Fox feet (now I have to figure out what feet I had placed with the Arctic Fox....)
5: ?
6: Guillotine IIC
8: ?
9: Tessen
10: Saracen Hovertank wings
11,17,19,20: Black Lanner
12: Solitaire
13: UZL-3S arm-sprue
14: Forestry 'Mech (though, not sure which piece? I have the 'smokestack' backpack piece...)
15: WVR-1R knee/hip-plate sprue... just recognized it.
16: Verfolger chest-laser? (I think that's it...)
18: ?
21: Thunderbolt
22: ?

4 is feet from Arctic Fox.
9 is a shoulder armor piece off a Tessen.

Also, can't you just review your recent orders IWM's page to see what you bought and process-of-elimination whats left?

Thanks everyone.
I went to IWM directly and was tight on time, so I put all pieces in the same box - these were what was left...
My notes are gone else it might have been a little easier :)
Though, the TSA had lost a good 10 whole 'Mechs, and parts for ~20 others.

Ok! That'd make sense.... I hadn't been able to find a missing sprues from the Solitaire I picked up, but thought it may have been larger than this.
Thanks!

I'm gonna guess that you flew home with battletech miniature loot in your checked baggage. Yeah, all that "tin" is gonna look awfully weird under a x-ray image, which will result in further investigation. Personally I would have mailed the stuff my self to avoid the possibility of theft but I guess lessons learned the hard way. Did you make a claim with the airline (even though the fault was with Homeland Security, the airline is responsible generally for damage, loss or theft of your personal belongings. your mileage will vary on success, mind you)

#2 Lobo missile launcher
#7 Sentry rear plate? But i cannot remember that tubular thing to be in the same blister...
#12 Solitaire head and lasers ... sorry, but #5 does not belong to a Solitaire, although i cannot say to whom they belong
#21 Thunderbolt PP missile launcher and large laser

I am quite sure about #2 and #12 - not so much about #7 and #21

Yeah, dirty harry is right.  I went home and looked at mine and the 2 med lasers had balls they went into depressions.  Pretty sure the CB and Black Lanner use the same legs, I can try to get a picture tonight.
