I can only hope LRMs from stealth suits are, in-fact, good for harassment. :undecided:

And I just love how the rules talk around missile mounts, like they are all in drop-packs. :cussing:

My problem with it is this.  With so little ammo and so few tubes, what purpose does it serve?

Your squad of 6 high tech infantry fires a salvo of 12 missiles, 4 times.  It hits with half the salvos and half the missiles hit with those salvos.  That's 12 damage, total.  You can't kill a scorpion with that even if every missile hit the rear armour.  Now sure, you can deploy more but it's a very expensive way to get a small amount of missiles down range.  A single Striker light tank has as many tubes as 5 WilliNilliGhillie, 3 times the ammo, better speed and a sizable close range weapon in the SRM 6.  This suit has too much defense/mobility/range and not enough punch/purpose.

There's a bunch of things that could be done to help with this but I think removing 2 points of armour for, what, 7 more salvoes of missiles.  Would be a good place to start.

Personally I'd remove 3 points of armour and the APWM and add 6 salvoes and an LMG (rough in my head maths) which would give them a significant secondary weapon, enough primary ammo to keep shooting a lot longer and actually kill a target and the ability to effectively rip through PBI.  They'd still shrug of an ML hit per suit and have the stealth and the move speed to avoid a lot of fire but be enough of a threat to actually warrant shooting at.

Max 8 rounds possible. 2 slots for the launcher, two for the ammo, then the torso is filled.

The arguably most practical take on this concept is a 5 MP quad. It can fit a 12-shot LRM2 in a turret while being better at controlling the range. Armor will be rather thin, thought... I think it just manages 5 points.

EDIT: Old thread on LRM stealth snipers.

 Wasn't there something about torso-mounts negate all movement-points past one, thus, the preoccupation with drop-packs?

Or am I just befuddled by BA Stat-Blocks©?

Torso missiles stops IS BA from jumping and leg attacks/swarming. That's it.

And I can't convince myself this needs an Idiot's Guide of some-kind.

Thanks for the pointers …
