Good for you, and the best of luck with that.

Yes it's been quiet here of late, often I labour under a belief that I can accidentally
kill threads....so there was some mild concern from me that I'd done it here also  ^-^

Not yet at any rate.

My April Fools consisted of posting a Hello Kitty Warhammer IIC and pretending to farm, with more than a little dissapointment

Great to hear Force! And Congrats on the interview AW!

Nothing too big here, Adepticon in going on this weekend, so I help out a bit yesterday and today, but the little one turns one (WHERE DID THE TIME GO?) Sunday, so I'm helping prep all that fun-ness.

No April Fools on me but one of the guys at work got a call and text from his girlfriend saying she was "late" followed up by a photo off the internet of a positive pregnancy test...
That is a mean, mean woman.  I'm paraphrasing my very pregnant wife.

A bit like up North at the moment, and also War...that never changes.

Sorry, blatant Fallout joke.

Well played.  I ventured North, commented, and have returned...unscathed so far.  Yay me.

I hope everyone's weekend is progressing nicely.

Yes not bad thanks, caught up on some sleep.  Hope yours is also going well.

Up North right now, very boring for the most part.  Sometimes I think we need
new product, in order to stimulate some form of actual debate.

Well, if the CGL twitter feed is to be believed, we should be getting Wars of the Republic in the near future

Actually it has turned somewhat sour.  What supposed to be a more frequent trip to church followed by a 10 mile run has become dealing with a head cold on no sleep that I thought was allergies.  Yay.  And I have a sunburn.  Still probably have to run today.

I've been booking summer holiday in Italy (a friend is getting married there so we are going over early)

I've also managed some good runs for me this weekend - 6.5km (I'm building up my distances) yesterday and then a solid albeit slow 5km today but I managed to do the last km of that run about a minute faster than the previous 4

I was supposed to be doing work today (I've got an essay due soon) but instead have been doing all of the above! We're also preparing for Captain America: Winter Soldier by watching Captain America and The Avengers last night/this morning - off to an 8 or 9pm showing this evening

Oh I'm also trying to chase up why I haven't heard anything from the Army about trying to join for about 6 months! I thought they were supposed to be trying to get more warm bodies in?!

Yikes, a 2k cycle each way at the moment is doing me in.  Though I am hitting my rowing machine
kind of hard every day also, trying to deal with the paunch.  I've yet to see any real improvement, but
I shall persist.

I'll leave running to folks with proper knees, mine are screwed from one too many falls from motorcycles.

The trick is to make sure the powder goes off while the legislature is in session.  Bonne chance!

put a basketball, or soccer ball between your knees and do sit-ups. it helps tighten the core muscles, and get rid of belly fat.

Sounds like a good excuse to get a basketball or rugby ball too  :)

Well I'm not so keen on gardening either, but I'm damned if it'll look like a jungle this year.

Of course a evil side of me, considers turning it into some sort of perfectly sculpted English lawn.....immensely
amusing.  It being rural Finland and all, and our reputation (we must have one I'm sure) as slackers.  It'd
shock.

It never works, and then some wannebes four hundred years later make masks of your face without realizing what it was all about in the first place because some bear of a man makes a comic book vaguely about the day that you tried you brilliant maneuver to prove what a good Catholic that you were. Yeah, I put his chances with that plan about as good as the original plan.

Much better to just pass out pamphlets. Plus, you are guaranteed to be free of being immortalized by the strange and even odder descendant of Alan Moore.

I agree with you there. Stone fences rock.  ;)

We did a couple weeks of study on English gardens, my teacher having just gotten back from sabbatical from England. Beautiful stuff, I hope to see some real ones some day—along with the Palace of Versailles.

Just make sure you keep standards up by dressing appropriately when having afternoon tea on the lawn. One has to maintain standards, after all...
