 :D

Here is my interpretation of the vonLuckner (Felix) - the Sea-Devil:

As inspiration I used the King-Tiger - both turrets have the same features. I used the Armstrong AC of the (my) Vedette and made it bigger, space in the turret is sparse but it's possible to have an autoloader for the gun.
The gun looks massive but it is not, the thick barrel is the armored cooling jacket.

For the SRM 4 must be something different in comparison to the SRM6s so its depictured as some kind of SAM. The LRM is in the rear of the hull depressed so that it does not hamper the traverse of the turret, it will retract before shooting.

the Autocannon reloads from a magazine in the hull, the missiles do not use a automated reload mechanism, maybe I could add a ammunition storrage at the bottom of the rear - so the crew might be able to reload the tank after dismounting.

Still some work to do, but I hope you like it.

I try my very best....  ;D

Already found someone for the "reality" checking - don't dare to show him the Felix... the Maneater, on the other hand, got some great input, that will result in an overall even cooler tank with more of the traditional design markers of the Manticore.

I just wonder if i could use the Felix chassis for some other tanks - the Sturmfeuer maybe? at least the Heavy Gauss variant cries Jagdtiger for me.

You could probably use it for the Sturmy, whilst I assume that any Demolisher would end out looking more like the C&C Mammoth tank (well the first one that is)

the Demo is already in making... although the ChemSets are troublemakers, at least if i don't try to make them just normal cannons...

Yeah an over/under would look hte best, god knows what the loading system would be like save perhaps more akin to a loading system aboard a warship where the shells are brought up, rammed into each breech and then the shell hoist lowers before the guns fire.  Its proably why a Mammoth tank esque one might work a bit better.

Nice!
"That's Lieutenant Faceplant to you, Corporal!"

Things that I have learnt through clicking too fast on 'Move Done' on MegaMek: Double-check the CF of the building before jumping onto it, check artillery arrival times before standing in the neighbouring hex, and don't run across your own minefield.

"Hmm, I wonder if I can turn this into a MM map."

Look, I can't do what you do. But I do find the Felix a little ... bland, almost certainly becuase it's like something real.

I mean the Vedette-analog next to it I love. It's got that touch of wierdness I expect in BT vehicles.

Just a taste thing, I guess.

Hm, I don't want to convince you (nor me) but you are correct.
Its just that some the vL and the Rommel are quite "real" Tanks already,
Ok, the more Commonwealth interpretiion of the vL, found in RougeTech Mod and now on Cults (don't ask me that came first) is also a bllatant tank with oversized barrel and missile racks.

Maybe the PPC, SarLon Maxi variant will offer a different look

Dont' forget the Royal Von Luckner with its dual LB10s.

Only, as frankenbuild.
The dual Heavy AC is a Zhukov.
Maybe a vL body and ZHK turret.
Same could be true for the dual Siege AC version, just vL hull and demo turret.

Currently, when I find some time to work on it, it's more a face mod for the vL plus the option to turn it into a Sturmfeuer

Those are wonderful. Thanks for sharing!

Btw, you wouldn't have those as resin printer material, would you?

Oh well - this lay dormant for a while. While the Stugger (that was based on this chassis) ended as a new topic, a quick made alternative version don't need a new topic:

von Luckner (Royal)

And no I still don't like the loadout of most CBT Vehicles.

and the comparison:

Really good!
I can see this being downscaled to a Manticore easily.

I really like the looks of your work.  I am just debating trying to find someone to model some of the designs from my TRO.
