Hellcat Strike Armor

A model of heavy battle armor first seen in action in the Inner Sphere around 3075 with the Black Knights mercenary unit.

Equipped with a Support PPC and a twin Rocket Launcher 3's (as a compromise between the heavier LRM-5 and the lighter but less range effective SRM-2). Additionally, retractable magnetic clamps and a Mauser 960 in a anti-personnel attachment are installed in the left arm and a small ECM system is installed in the right arm. As an equalizing countermeasure to Clan battle armor points the Hellcat Strike Armor is utilized in 6-man squads rather than the typical 4-man squads.

With the advent of Battle Armor becoming available to mercenary units, the Black Knights elected to adapt several of their existing mechanized units into new Battle Armor squads. The squad size chosen by the Black Knights is somewhat unusual, and was based initially on the existing Infantry Organization size of their APC or IFV Mechanized squads (typically composed of six soldiers in wheeled vehicles). At present, however, the Black Knights are only capable of fielding a total of ten squads of battle armor, though plans exist to increase that number to a full Company of battle armor troops.

A variant of the Hellcat Strike Armor equipped with jump jets, at the expense of two points of armor.

i like this.   it could replace the Standard Battle armor as a mercs first choice.
