Yes, it's a subtle difference, but it's not that much more expensive.

I've used the color binder strips for windows as well-but once I started putting LEDs in them the
difference is extremely noticeable. Plexiglass gives a much more realistic appearance.
The biggest problem I've had recently is that even if manufacturers product is consistant-so far
their choice of coating is not.
Some use a nice clear blue protective coating,some use a white coating, some brown,and others use
a white coating with all sorts of letters and symbols printed on it. Adds never tell you which one
and if you ask they say the lots are different.
My preference is for the unmarked white coating for most buildings because it allows you to choose the
color the glass will look like with your LED remote while blurring the led itself for an even color.
Blue is good if your using non-colored LEDs but you kind of have to hide the LED itself to make
the lighting look even.
