Looks like the Night Star and Firestarter Mechs have won. I will put them up on the site tomorrow evening.

Both the Firestarter and Nightstar have been added to the Archive Special Return Folder for sale without the Archive Fee.

I got a few Nightstars, like I said before, for the longest time they were in the Archives still under the original price so I picked some up a few months back. I think I got 3 at the moment. One in SLDF colors, 1st FedSuns Lancers colors, and 1 in a urban camo scheme.

I would have voted Gunslinger except the sculpt is so bad.

I explained my voting logic in the last poll.  I'll always vote for the best existing sculpt, even if it's not the 'Mech with the best game stats.  Of all the minis on the last poll, the Firestarter was the best sculpted.  The Nightstar, Gunslinger and Black Lanner will all benefit from a resculpt, so I'd rather see that done for them than a return of a sculpt that isn't that great.

I agree about the Nightstar, I held off buying one because of the poor sculpt but ever since it went archived I was sad not to have picked one up.

I still don't like it but it's too useful a mech to pass up.

The same could be said of the Gunslinger but I just CANNOT get past it's little twiggy chicken arms.

So I'm just wondering what's wrong with the nightstar? Other than it's small for it's tonage?

It's only a two-piece mini that can't be posed.  It's arm joints are very weak and tend to break, sometimes even while it's still in the blister.  It has very little detail, even less than the art would suggest.  Of course, the art is not exactly up to 7th grade levels, either.

So its a problem with the art mainly? The thing looks exactly like the art in the tro. Or is it more that it isn't poseable and the arms are weak? I can agree with the last part alto I've never had broken arms on one yet.

I mainly don't like the angle and positioning of the arms, but like Wraithcannon said I missed out on it once so I made sure to get it this time.

The forearms are too big.  It was a perspective problem with the art.

Speck,

Let me suggest that you put the Tundra Wolf in your next poll.  It's a great mini with incredible game stats, and now that it's finally gotten TRO treatment, it's bound to be more popular.

Actually, I would suggest to put some TRO 3085 (Supplemental) units in there more often. The TRO treatment should be good for all of them.
