Special Ops in 3145
« on: 13 February 2018, 19:24:19 »
If you were a Republic officer (safely behind the wall or in the Remnant, either way) and tasked with putting together a headhunter battle armor platoon made up of at most 3 type of suits.  Or four if you are making with four squads, 4 types of suits.

Any RPG or SPA skills you would want in the prospective troopers?

Purifiers, GDL Infiltrators, Achileus, basically anything that can't be traced back to you easily.

Hm . . . I was not meaning strategic headhunting, I am talking something more like what the Wolves did in the invasion- you are either attacking or defending and send these guys off to take heads.  Attacking you are HALO dropping before your mechs hit dirt.  Defensively you are sending them off on VTOLs flying NAP or hover transports taking a circular route to hit their DZ from the opposite side from your MLR.

Definitely GDL Infiltrators. The Shun seemed to be on the open market for a while. May want to use those or the Cavalry Stealth. IIRC the bloodstalker SPG. Make sure your target is dead.

Purifiers for one. Sneaky, hard to hit. I’d back them with Angeronas. Again, sneaky, hard to hit - but with more focus on dealing with infantry, infiltration and sabotage.
Lastly. How about the Hurricane P17.
This is basically a clandestine assasination suit with a very big gun and Clan equipment designed by ComStar and handed over to the Republic on the downlow.
