I ask because vehicles can mount jump jets so UMUs shouldn't be too much of a problem. Plus they could help vehicles traveling along the seabed to get around better.
For example two tanks both have environmental sealing and are traveling under a body of water when they come to an underwater canyon. Tank A has to go around. Tank B has UMUs and can "jump" over the canyon. It could also jump over undersea hills and such that would normally block their movement.
