I wasn't able to find a CBT image of the Mining Mech MKII. So nobody else has to dig, here's the WizKids minis of it (standard and mod).

i'm full-fledged team primitives. after that it was between the quadvee and the mining mech. my arion is lonely so i went with the notos

I must agree with Weirdo, I find it sad to see the workmechs going out. :'(
I always felt FF should be for things that are less likely to see play like workmechs or XTRO/unique units. Still, if peoples want them, those big mechs should be done.

I keep hoping for the workmechs. My Brotherhood of Fianna force needs the Daedalus, Buster, and Harvester Ant.

I want a mini of the Emperor's new look very much, so I voted for that.

Possibly. The Raider isn't doing all that much better.
I don't think I'm particularly surprised at the relative popularity of battlemechs over their industrial cousins, after all, they are the top-billed stars of the show, but I can understand the disappointment.

If TRO: Irregular tech had come out, it would bolstered the industrial mech crowd.

Unfortunately, with four industrial mechs splitting the vote, we’re working against our own interests. Between the four we have enough votes to move the Raider into the top three with ease.

Perhaps the suggestion criteria should have been more direct, as in construction mechs only? Fan funding is a great tool, but if the starting criteria is too open, we will end up with results like this. On the other hand, we know what will get guaranteed funding.

Most industrial mechs don't look very good, nor are they very effective.
This doesn't help with find support for them.
Especially if we have to take a gamble for how the weaponized version would look like.
I might have gone for a Daedalus, but how would it look like at the end?

This is the big deal breaker for me. I am very unlikely to vote for a dump truck with legs; it just doesn't fit my aesthetic sense, and, at the end of the day, I buy miniatures to paint* much more than I buy them for their game statistics.
I recognize that it's all subjective, so I don't complain when things I wouldn't buy win, but it does control my vote. The buster and raider look like fun to paint to me. The mining 'mech not so much. (There are plenty of combat units I avoid for the same reasons)
I'll grant that the Harvester Ant is unique and interesting, if not exactly beautiful.
* - Well, really I buy miniatures based on aspirations of painting, and plans for hoarding, but the theory is there.

While I'd live to see the Mining Mech Mk II, I don't think it ever got stats for Battletech, so I went with the Buster and Harvester Ant. I recall both having plenty of variants that could work on the table.
Of course, what I really would want is a Chaffee.

Due to Scourge not getting funded before release schedule coming out we will fund the Ursa next.

My first choice, the scourge, is already being done by IWM? So fan funding is doing my second choice? Huzzah for House Steiner!
