Man, this is a blast from the past.  Xerxes one those fighters that puts the fright in any sane warship crew, especially when their coming in full stars.

given the armor and average thrust, i can't help but think that the 8 tons of gas is a bit of a waste.. it probably would have been served better with 5 tons of fuel, another 2 tons of ammo, and an extra heatsink. or just 3 extra heatsinks.

I'd not be surprised if the Spirits made use of this ship. Whilst the AC's might be 'extravagant' by their standards, the ships built using standard compounds for the most part and is cheap to produce that way.  Plus, 15 tons of bombs = hell on earth for anyone landing on York.
