Shatter Star (Inner Sphere Standard)

The Shatter Star was developed during the height of the Star League as one of the pinnacle of dogfighting with the advent of the advanced tactical interface system and holographic digital display system.  While a maintenance queen, the fighter proved its worth time and again during trials where it was used to root out pirate bases.  As the Star League began to decline post-Exodus, the advanced nature of the targeting systems aboard the fighter relegated it to LosTech status before the end of even the First Succession Wars.  It wasn't until the Jihad that the Word of Blake unearthed the plans for the fighter and put it immediately into production for use by their Manei Domini.  At the war's end, the design was considered successful enough to enter mainstream production by every major power though only the Republic of the Sphere would continue to produce the original Star League variant.  All other states chose instead to try and improve upon the design.  Quietly, Daemon Interstellar has raked in the profits from the sale of these fighters to all powers.
