ERROR - New Thread “Awaiting Approval”?

I posted a new thread on the mech fan designs board last night, and the system gave the post an “Awaiting Approval” label in the title and the post itself has a pink background and similar note “This message is awaiting approval by a moderator.”  I’m not sure anyone else can see the thread (only a handful of views), but here’s the link:

Did I miss something and new threads now require mod approval?

Or did I accidentally click something I shouldn’t have?

Or is the system just screwy and I need to get a mod/admin to fix?

...okay, so the one I already knew about wasn't an isolated incident.  That's... concerning.  I'm going to ping the sysadmin again.

New threads are not supposed to require moderator approval.  I want to be clear: We are not interested in requiring that.  The feature set that apparently involves isn't turned on in the board settings (and to my knowledge never has been), let alone the settings to require us to review anything in that board or anywhere else.

Looks like the anti-spam plugin flagged it as spam.  There's also something else funky I see.  We're going to keep looking into it.

Gave up waiting and just posted the same content again in a new thread.  Worked this time.  If a Mod or Admin is paying attention, they can just delete the old thread at the link above.

Issue was never resolved.  The original thread has not been deleted as requested four days ago.  There was no response when I asked if there was an update on this issue five days ago.  And the original thread is still “Awaiting Approval” despite Moonsword’s promise here to approve it a week ago.  You can still find the original thread here:

There are probably others.

I get that stuff happens and folks are volunteering their time here.  But Admins should not be admonishing a poster about a minor double-post when the Admins and Mods failed to address or even communicate for days and days on the technical issue that forced the double-post in the first place.  It’s no fun and certainly the poster’s fault if a problem with the website sends a couple hours worth of work on a design and fluff into The Phantom Zone with no resolution or even follow-up from website staff on whether one is in the works.  After staff fail to follow up for days and days, they should expect posters to try to post again so the posters’ work does not go to waste and not cast blame on posters for doing so.  Censoring legitimate poster contributions because of unrelated and unfixed technical issues does not encourage participation in the forums here.

  This thread has been locked for repeated violations of rule 3. The error is nothing that could be solved by the moderators or the administrators. It needs the help of Tech Support. They have their own speeds and, unfortunately, we cannot control that, like many other things in live. Fortunately, it seems that it has been circumvented and the problem solved. We have been looking at things for more than a week under the courtain.

  On the other hand, we can and we must control other things, like people insulting other people. This forum is not the place for being mean or insult other people and the moderators and administrators are here to prevent this kind of behaviours. If somebody doesn't like this it is clear that this forum is not a place for the forum member to remain.
